Trantice or whatever the guy's name is sent an email to Betacake:
"I am the person that recorded the videos about SWTOR, and I'd like to set the record straight about them. I was live streaming SWTOR on a protected stream for a live QA session. I thought it would be a great way to do a group QA on the current build of the game, but as you can see, it got way out of hand. This was over the past weekend.
What I didn't realize is how poorly the security is at Justin.tv. Anyone can go in and find an archive of a video, as is evident. Even though I deleted my own archives, word of mouth apparently made people search long and hard to find a back door. It was NOT my intention to leak these videos to anyone. I was of course banned for what occurred, which is sad because I really enjoyed the game a lot. I spoke extensively with David Bass and Eric Campbell @ Bioware, but the rules are the rules. They understood what occurred, but the terms of the NDA were pretty clear. Oh well!
What I'd like to also say, is that while I was live streaming, we were discussing choices, bugs, maps, QA items, all during the stream. This is why you see periods of inactivity or just basic crap game play. I can assure you I am seasoned MMO vet, but again, I was live streaming and discussing the game at the same time. We talked about which choices to take, bugs we may have seen that I may have missed, and all kinds of design elements. I thought it was really something special to help the game out. This is also the reason you see completely un-edited footage that may be painful to watch.
I guess now that these videos are out, I can hope for two things. One, that the buzz for the game increases and people will look forward to it even more. Second, that the enormous amount of feedback that the footage has garnered will help Bioware to tweak the game and hopefully make it more successful. "
Shit is serious business. That phone call with Bioware must have been very interesting.
