Yeah, I thought THAT was the third trailer but it was just a cut up version for the conference.

Ah. Yeah, I thought it was strange they didn't show the actual third cinematic at the conference but I guess 6 minutes is too long for what they wanted to show.

Yeah, that's the intro cinematic you will see when you go to start it up for the first time. It has scenes from all three cinematics that were released.

As far as we know, there aren't any actual CG cutscenes in the game. Everything shown so far has been in-game.

That isn't the one that will be shown as the intro.

"Return" which has no cut up bits from other cinematics is the intro. There are two new cinematics.

Okay, will try to get a few hours sleep before Sony's conference. I'm posting the E3 thread after that.

Ugh, just seems like PR bull shit. No reason not to give a date at this point, unless it's slipping to '12. Less than six months away at this point.
They're not gonna announce the date more than 2 months in advance.

An Old Republic movie done by Blur would be fantastic. Funny thing about the 3 cinematics is they were released in the opposite order of how they should be watched.

Todays is the start of the story then Alderaan and finally Sacking of Coruscant

The faction imbalance in this game is going to be completely absurd.

I'm surprised they aren't just saying "Dec. 2012".

The only reason I can think of is either EA wants it rushed out in September or October (so Bioware is working frantically to make this happen but it isn't guaranteed) or the game still needs a lot of work and they aren't even sure they can get it out by the end of December.

I dont know. Galaxies managed to stay pretty steady balance wise. Its surprising how many people want to be the good guys

How so? Let me guess, because everyone is going to be playing as force users? Isn't that kind of obvious when half the classes in the game are force users?

That's class imbalance. Everyone will want to be Sith. There will be plenty of casual players that roll Republic, but I wouldn't be surprised at all if most of the compelling gameplay basically requires you to roll Sith since everyone wants to be the bad guys unless they make them explicitly ugly.

I've said this after every trailer that they release, but they NEED to allow this CGI company to make a movie... goddamn.

The trailer was fucking awesome.

The Jedi were fucking awesome.

It battle was heavily skewed in the Siths favour with two Dark Lords fighting a Jedi Knight and what seems to be his padawan.

And then it became a two on one. The stealth kill by the Jedi Knight was freaking awesome. And they Padawan and the badass Smuggler/Trooper escaped to warn the republic.

AWE-FUCKING-SOME!!!!!

I'm still disappointed the Jedi Consular hasn't gotten its class update yet. =_=

I grow weary of the wait.

Hopefully it'll be coming out on a friday soon.... =D

That's just because I had to choose one. Plenty of room for everyone.

Honestly I'm CST. As more people hop aboard, we may have different schedules if enough people join. I'll be starting my full time job and will have a much more strict schedule.

Damn, what's going on with that keyboard? lol

Seriously, all this swag, info, etc., it's all leading to a speculated 2011 release. And did we ever hear about this Origin exclusive yet?

Agreed. Those CGI trailers have been some of the best Star Wars cinema I've seen since the original trilogy. Really great stuff.

Skyrim is 80k, so...

80k of dialogue? I doubt that. 80k worth of text, sure, Id buy that - what, with all those codex and lore entries. It would be nice if it was 80k worth of dialogue since then we might actually get a decent story in an elder scrolls game.

800k lines of dialogue. Jeebus. Didnt DAO only have like 70k?

Yup, when we literally say its KOTOR 4,5,6,7...etc, We really mean it because there are that many KOTOR sequels worth of content in the game. Each class has the quality and the length of three full fledged game (200 hours each class, three individual unique chapters/episodes for each class + the over encompassing galaxy story) ....and our dept has thousands of cinematics/conversations to produce :O

The game is still slated for 2011 as well.

There will be hours of gameplay on the showfloor being played and demonstrated as well as alot of media & news will be released throughout the week.

No beta announcement makes me more nervous than the lack of a release date. I need this thing soon.

Yeah it sounds like there are big problems with this game. It ain't getting any prettier either
It does? It sounds more like people love to bitch about decisions Bioware made very early on to make an accessible MMO (medium tier graphics, traditional MMO combat and skills trees).
