All new INFO on the game at PAX.

My biggest question is on party limits. (well not my biggest one, but the one most likely to be answered) - some quests shown seem like they only work with 2 plays, that doesn't feel very Massive.

never heard about the cat, apparently

Yeah it seems like this game is more of a Online RPG than a MMO.

My main question is how much do you want me to pay to play it RIGHT NOW :lol

Lost all credibility.
It's interesting that from jump they have you in shoot outs with multiple enemies. I guess since the game relies so heavily on story telling, they can convey progression through that instead of having to only rely on skilling up slowly over a span of time.

You seriously think that there will be only 2 to a group? Just because they demo only showed 2 people doesn't mean the entire game is going to play out like that.

Info from someone at pax who sat in on day 1 panels. The audio for the panel is up on the SWTOR forum.

"and here is what I saw and heard.

4 force classes, not just Sith and Jedi

Fully explorable planets

Sub classes per class

PvP (still wont say how)(but they say you gankers will love it)

Crafting and harvesting

Said there will be shades of gray for both light and dark

Social hubs, and other things that will appeal to womanfolk besides kill, kill, kill.
"

Oh no, it's more like I wonder if there will be a limit to the amount in a part depending on the quest.

The quest I was referring to seems like it was written for 2 people in mind, dunno if it would turn out the same with 6 people. Secondly, I want to know what amount you can have in a party max - 5? 4? 6? This is essential info.

Just watched the Gamescom and PAX footage.

Isn't it slightly disturbing that irrevocable progression-changing decisions will be made by OTHER player characters in your party? If I'm playing Light Side and the decision to murder everyone comes down to someone playing Dark Side (or just someone that wants to be a douche) that kinda sucks.

It almost seems weird that they even stress the irrevocable nature of the game/story progression, since the trend in WoW is to make more and more things changeable and revocable (talent re-specs, race, gender, and now even faction).

Planet Hutta does look crazy-good, though I'm not really confident that those sweet buildings in the back are actual in-game geometry.

I don't mind since that makes the mmo experience even more dynamic, but a lot of mmo players may not feel the same. Maybe they'll have it where the players control the outcome, but the individual choices will determine lightside/darkside points. That way a player can be on the lightside while their party members go dark. Also, from that pax vid, the devs seem to imply that it may take a few actions before an npc sides with the player, so having a bad group may not seriously affect the individuals preference of lightside/darkside(sort of like rep points towards the individual npc).

Unfortunately I am not looking forward to this release. I am a Star Wars fan, but the fact remains that these games have just gotten repetitive over time to me. I'll keep an eye out for fresh ideas, but so far it looks melancholy at best.

I wouldn't even think about the moral choices you make in the game yet. It's not finished, and there is no way Bioware will implement a system that can be manipulated by certain douchebags. In other words, they won't allow someone else to make decisions that could change your toon.

They are making big deal about not being able to go back, so thinking out YOUR decisions is crucial. But that does not mean they will let someone else make them for you.

Just wait and see basically.

who is Emo-Beas?
When they say harvesting it better be like how SWG did it. Not the shit you see in games where you go to the same node and click it.

SWG had the crafting system just about PERFECT.

God, these PAX videos. It just looks better and better.

What music are they using? Movie music, Kotor music or new? It seems different every time.

They've been doing a series of videos, mostly centered around the playable classes. With this latest one, they've basically confirmed the last unknown class--Imperial Intelligence.

I'm pretty sure that's what the Twi'lek character we saw on the Sith side in the cinematic trailer was.

Accounting for the fact that each side will have 2 force using classes, this means we now know all the classes:

Republic: Jedi 1, Jedi 2, Smuggler, Trooper.
Empire: Sith Warrior, Sith 2, Intelligence, Bounty Hunter.

I'm probably going to go Smuggler myself.

Game looks so good already! I am pretty much burned out of WoW at this point, and will be taking a break from MMOs until this comes out. Will most likely be building a new computer to accompany the launch of the game as my x1600 MBP is barely cutting it as it is.

Site is down for maintenance for me though.

Yea, it took me a lot of refreshes to finally be able to sign-up. The site is going crazy, I think, in part due to how many people are probably trying to sign-up.

It said the same thing for me along with logging me off the site whenever I actually tried to sign-up.

Yea, I'm actually trying to access their forums right now and the site is completely down. I was lucky to get on, I guess, when I did because now I can't even access the site.

I almost finished signing up before I started getting errors. darn

Still stuck in the registration process, since the site seem to crash every minute or lag off too much. :lol Bioware already know that they will need plenty of servers at launch.
