You're terran, right? And you scout your guy building an armory? He might be upgrading his mech army (hellions, siege tanks) but he might also be building Thors... and Thors are the shittiest unit in the game pretty much. Keep on producing marines, they counter it.

Hmmm yea. It just happened to me tonight I didn't handle it properly at all. I expanded too late, didn't build enough SCV's and got destroyed by seige tanks. He built like 6 Thors. I still have a bad habit of not building shit but instead trying to build more units and vehicles from what I have.

Don't let it bother you man, we all lose to shitty stuff sometimes. If you see someone building an armory, it should never stop you from expanding/producing stuff/making SCVs constantly. Just do your regular build and try get air superiority (if he goes for viking/siege tanks).

My logic: lots of early investment tech for 1 unit = no econ and no transition. Also gas limited.
Make marauders and kill him.

Again it depends on the timing of things because an early armory and a rush to armory are two different things.

Scouting is important.
Rescouting is the most important.

Yeah, I've seen the thread. Apparently that Guz guy lied to the players and his sponsors (IPL), as well as embezzling the prize money for the HoN tournament that never took place.

Aside from his reputation in the community being destroyed, he's most likely going to get sued by IGN.

Well, I'm hoping that none of the big tournaments uses this as an excuse to shun the region for qualifiers (IPL, IEM).

What Alex said in the IGN apology post is that they will be screening potential partners more closely, which implies that they do want to do further outsourcing/partnerships.

We can't let a bad apple ruin the harvest.

I just played the dumbest 47 minute match ever. Basically some guy kept building nukes while I just went around destroying his bases until eventually, he had no SCVs, no supply depots or anything. He sent all his remaining bases to each corner of the map and forced me to build a bunch of vikings and shit and chase him down for about 15 minutes. So fucking annoying.
