the shills are annoying but the mental breakdown and denial is understandable. To me it’s obvious what Dech and all the Xbox fanboys in here and elsewhere are trying to do… they want to blame Sony fanboys for everything going wrong with Xbox. This isn’t the first time they tried this tactic. They did it in REEE That’s why XboxEra was created and also led to the majority of PS fans being banned from that purple forum because of all the crying from the green camp. These people are sick.
I mean everyone else totally loves Starfield except for PS fanboys. PS fanboys are the only ones who hate Bugthesdas lates games… LMAO menal gymnastic at it’s finest or victim complex you decide.
Only reason why we are in this mess is because of all the astroturfing and shilling That’s been going on for so long for this game and Todd’s lies on top of that… and now look how it all blew up on their faces.
Starfield Steam user reviews keep slowly improving, it may end becoming the game of the week in Steam:
How is it dropping so fast75.9% now.
Probably people like me who are pissed off at how stupidly broken it is. FFS game has not true full screen mode. Assholes have no clue how easy it is for a PC to get weird with video. I give it a 2/100 for that even thought I kind of like the game. I just hate the assholes who gave me a game that I can't optimize from settings and have to use ini editing to get a full screen. Assholes, assholes, assholes.75.9% now.
So weird. I am totally inhaling the game into my pores, when I'm not playing it I'm thinking about the next time I'll play it. It's 100% up my alley. Could it be better? Yeah of course. Am I having a great time with it? Yup. The things that are bothering other people so much are barely annoyances to me.
It's on fans that hyped the game.If you completely ignore what they've said and marketed, and kept your expectations to just Fallout 4 with a space skin. Then it's a good game. Enjoy it. Others fell for bethesda lies and had different expectations. But the fault isn't on them, it's bethesda constantly lying, exaggerating, hiding gameplay and being purposely vague and misleading.
As for exploration on planets, that sucks badly. Even that is not a problem, compared to the gameplay issues. The average distance between the Earth and the Moon is 384 400 km (238 855 miles).
After a few hours of Starfield, I realized Bethesda games still are just not for me in general. It's on fans that hyped the game.
Maybe actual talk the real issues that people are having with the game.
The game menu is garbage. There is a lot of loading screen. Quest is bland for some people. That is the main issue for the game.
Space flying isn't that bad considering there is a lot of open space in the space.
As for exploration on planets, that sucks badly. Even that is not a problem, compared to the gameplay issues.
The exact same scenario played out during the HD DVD vs Blu-ray format war. Look that history up sometime. MS is employing the exact same playbook here trying to flood the zone with their bullshit to crowd out reality. Unfortunately for MS, gamers are used to being treated like shit by society and know how to fight back. They won't get their way with gamers so easily at they did with spinning shiny round disc movie watchers. To me it’s obvious what Dech and all the Xbox fanboys in here and elsewhere are trying to do… they want to blame Sony fanboys for everything going wrong with Xbox. I can't figure out why non-Steam purchased is so much lower than Steam purchased.

I guess they bought it on Playstation How does steam verify that the user even played the game if he bought it outside of Steam?I can't figure out why non-Steam purchased is so much lower than Steam purchased.
I am going to play this game when the mods are so plentiful and robust that most of the work was done by the community. That will be a blast, I'm sure. The entire beginning felt dull and boring. And the gunplay in the first fight seemed awful.
I'll give it another chance after I install these mods that improve performance.

In the end, MS lost and Blu-ray won. The arc of history bends towards justice. Sometimes it takes forever though.

Still, the discourse around the game is hilarious.
Oh, so bought outside steam reviews are from the keys? Basically when you redeem the key in steam it is treated different from the direct purchase?Because the game is redeemed with a key rather than purchased directly within Steam. And the keys come from Valve's system either way.

The only difference to the user is that you can't return it, but they will report separately.
That game's audience is getting a game which is exactly what they were told it would be. Todd simply spoke too much and promised too much.Console Warzz

I think the issue is that Skyrim is 10 years old now and gaming has evolved a lot since then. Skyrim was mind blowing a decade ago, but there are a lot of open world games today which are much better than Skyrim was in it's heyday. Meanwhile Bethesda seemingly hasn't evolved at all. If TES6 is still the same thing again in 2030 it's going to look like an antique compared to whatever competing open world games will look like in 2030.I'm sticking with Skyrim in space, so if you thought Skyrim was dull, you'll feel the same about this. But if you loved Skyrim like I did...
Nah, social wars.Console Warzz
The space exploration/planet exploration stuff. The fact that people keep coming into this game expecting a space sim is a problem that Todd and their marketing team cause. What too much was promised by Todd? I'm curious, because at this point, the negativity surrounding Starfield right now has nothing to do with empty promises, the game's mechanics, etc.

I've been adamantly telling my friends who are trying it out, to interact with it more like Mass Effect instead of expecting No Mans Sky or Star Citizen, because I've been having a lot of fun playing it that way.
F-me. I typed out almost the same thing. Glad I scrolled up a bit before posting.I think the issue is that Skyrim is 10 years old now and gaming has evolved a lot since then. They literally advertised those buzzwords around the game, "Han Solo Simulator", "Space Exploration Sim" "you can explore an entire planet" (in response to a NMS comparison on Twitter) which then people said on here and abroad that was proof you can walk around an entire planet. You can't say Todd promised things because people's expectations were high. That's not his or Bethesda's fault. They were very excited about the exploration part and it delivers more than any space game which I've played to date.
Starfield walks a fine line with planet and exploration. If you go too heavy on the "sim" mechanics then you get No Man's Sky. A complete universal carbon copy, barebones exploration, intelligent life that doesn't speak, hold LT to follow your enemy in space combat and just shoot. NMS is a perfect example of a developer overpromising at release and the game absolutely not being what it was said.
No one said Starfield was a space sim. It's Bethesda. I've heard Skyrim in space so much that I can't possibly believe people thought this was going to be a full sim and I'm glad it's not, because there's no telling what this game would be missing with those components. How many full systems does Star Citizen have trying to be a complete sim? Where is Sq42? When are they going to switch to beta?
Same thing with Elite Dangerous. They focused on the space flying sim aspect so much that it release not being able to even walk around the ships that you grind for. When that finally released, it felt like a tacked on after thought and they even gave up developing for consoles that people helped kickstart when it was said and done. 90% of the planets in Elite are truly barren where you can take a week to drive around it and see only resources.
I get it. People expected a sim, but if you're going to go full sim then you're going to alienate a large portion of gamers and then your game because sim niche. Then you are sacrificing other mechanics for more sim and either end up with a game with a shitty gameplay loop with no story or an unfinished game.

Then in typical Bethesda fashion after being hype men, they let the community run wild and instead of tempering expectations, they remained their ambiguous selves and/or showed very little of what you actually did for said exploration and sim. Don't even get started on the "space combat."
Sad part is, that UbiSoft Star Wars game seems like the true Han Solo Simulator. In retrospect.
"LMAO" ok.LMAO. There is a literal millennium falcon ship build for the game where you can run contraband between systems, planets, cities, and settlements. Exploring galaxies, planets, and everything in the game is a sim if you want it to be. Like every Bethesda game, you become a player type and choose to live that out how you want.
There's nothing wrong with hyping a game up, but I have rarely seen a developer come out and say this is not want you're getting in the game in accord to every question asked.
The really sad part is expecting UniSoft to deliver anything they say they're going to deliver in a game before it actually releases.
Sounds like something Todd Howard would sayThey were very excited about the exploration part and it delivers more than any space game which I've played to date.
I have no problem with anyone not liking this game.
Sounds like something Todd Howard would say
This game is your basic ass Bethesda rpg from early 2000s. What people were expecting is an evolution of that. Nothing has improved whatsoever aside from the graphics and even that doesnt look impressive. Todd Howard and Co. Didn't do jack shit about tempering expectations, only reinforced it. You can go ahead and keep complaining about people's expectations while I look at those steams reviews drop.Nah. Only someone that's heavily invested in the flight and space PC sim genre so I, me, and myself know exactly how I feel about the mechanics of games in terms of exploration, flight models, ground and space combat, systems, etc. Playing so many of them you get the feeling of the limitations of each or you can, you know, read up on the description of a game and know if it's an sim, adventure, or survival and use your brain to deduce what kind of game you're going to get from there.
If you just ask yourself this - is Skyrim really a 93/100?I don't think the "Skyrim in space" thing is apt, because Skyrim had abundant open-world exploration, and Starfield doesn't. Skyrim wasn't full of copy/paste procedurally generated stuff, but Starfield is. Skyrim didn't have mandatory fast travel, but Starfield does. But I get the general idea -- it's a Bethesda game, so it's similar to previous Bethesda games.
Speaking of other Bethesda games, it looks like Starfield is sitting halfway between Fallout 4 and Fallout 76:
- Fallout New Vegas : 95.24%
- Skyrim : 93.88%
- Oblivion : 93.77%
- Morrowind : 93.14%
- Fallout 4 : 81.85%
- Starfield 75.9%
- Fallout 76 : 71.73%
Do they?People from Microsoft and Sony studios literally go to lunch together everyday
Do they?
