Wolfire Games' first commercial product and those who obtained the Overgrowth/Natural Selection 2 preorder bundle last year gets this for free on Steam, as long as the Natural Selection 2 alpha key was entered.

I think I somehow missed that preorder bundle...

Wolfire Games and Unknown Worlds created a specific website for the bundle. It was not on Steam and I believe anyone who had already preordered the special edition of Natural Selection 2 at that point was upgraded to the bundle.

Hey, you know what I don't miss from disk installs? The fucking ambient music you can't mute. Thank god Steam doesn't have that. (I'm sitting through a two DVD install of Turok and I want to listen to music, but not this fucking looping shit).

Windows lets you mute individual programs.

Looking through the Official Community Group lists on Steam, there are several new titles coming to Steam soon:

AlternativA, which is an adventure game by Centauri Production.

Clones, which is a Lemmings style title by Tomkorp Computer Solutions Inc.

HOARD, which is a game about dragons and their treasure by Big Sandwich Games, INC.

Pound of Ground, which is a 3rd Person Shooter by Centauri Production.

You should definitely be the one to make the next Steam thread.

I completely forgot about that... because I have never actually had a use for it.
It has its uses.

Very interesting stuff all around, Clones looks promising. Thanks for bringing this to our attention!

One to ignore, given that Cities XL developer has acknowledged serious bugs and has decided against patching them to focus on 2011. Seems pretty bullshit to me.
To make up for it you get 50% off 2011 if you own Cities XL.

And if I'm not mistaken 2011 is a new developer and publisher.

Same publisher, but different developer. The previous developers went bankrupt.

That looks really good.

It's a very fun game to play and addictive as hell. It's pretty hard sometimes and you will die a lot in the beginning but you want to keep on playing and playing. I recommend this game for sure.

Fun to see it being released, actually played/tested it a few times at their office. Normally not my kind of game but truly enjoyed playing this.

Diamon Dan is awesome but damn hard. The first 2 levels were easy but the third I cannot reach the bottom lol Damn water pots. BOUGHT (on sale at least)

i think whoever made that lugaru game should be on some kind of government watch list.

For having one of the most interesting and insightful developer blogs around?

I agree.

Oh, wait, you were making some retarded furry joke weren't you? Carry on.

Someone on a previous page made a comparison between some adventure game and the games made by Amrita Designs. What was that game?

Are people still under the illusion that Valve makes these sales?
Somebody on this very thread was like "Thinking about it, makes sense that the developers decide on the sales".

And even that is wrong.

Those guys deserve respect, they came up with the Humble Indie bundle after all...

Not sure if Lugaru / Overgrowth are particularly more twisted than most AAA titles with regards to violence to be honest.

crimsonheadGCN said:
Yes, probably in preparation for Overgrowth. Wolfire and Valve already has a deal that all pre-purchases of Overgrowth from Wolfire's site will be able to activate a Steam copy of Overgrowth when it's released.
Sweet, didn't know they'd announced a sequel. First game was kinda surreal and very enjoyable.

Wait for a Steam sale. I believe it has been down to 25$ and it will probably be on sale again at some point in the next 3 months. And honestly, it's not a game so great that you can't wait until then.

THQ had a cheap as hell sale a couple months ago (think it was in the summer) for Metro 2033 for like 20 bucks.

So pissed that I missed out on it. You should definitely wait until Christmas or Thanksgiving Weekend. Steam's bound to put this game on sale for cheap by then.
