Well said indeed. Yes, Dustborn is as woke as any game could get. Makes you want to throw up just watching the cringe trailer. That is the exact types of games these nut jobs love creating now. Always a black female lead, always weird sidekicks, always political references and shoving radical ideology into the game. Most gamers want nothing to do with that shite and sooner or later hopefully it dies off when sales have plummeted and these idiot companies realize people don’t want this garbage. One can hope.

I don’t mind games like Dustborn - it is telling a story with new characters. Where it is grating is when you have existing characters, who are then bent out of shape to tell a completely different story - losing the story coherence, previous character development and much of what made them interesting in the first place.

I wouldn't mind if they didn't take the funding off legit games. It's the same in literature. I don't mind if they publish this crap, the problem is that they do it to the detriment of legit ones because their goal is to push us out of business.

Usually those who don't see what's going on refuse to because it collides with their world view, or bonafide ignorance/naivety.
I'm in the acceptance phase, but also hedging a bet on a radical* change within the next several months. We'll see. This hinges on the political, but, at this point, it can almost no longer be avoided.

Developers make the games they want and how is this not a "legit" game? I've seen the gameplay, it is definitely a game.

Yes! Let the market decide. Who knows, maybe there is an actual audience for this game and if they enjoy it I'm happy for them. Some people think that making games for people who don't look, act or s*x like them is somehow bad.
