Think i'll pick up Hydrophobia as soon as the sale goes up.

I played the Xbox trial when it initially came out and wasn't all that impressed, though it was a short and poor demo. But, for $3, I think the enhanced version will be worth my time.

Is the game worth it? The revised edition, I mean.
Hydrophobia had some neat and interesting ideas, but almost everything was poorly executed in the game (I played the Steam release only). However, the water tech looks incredible at times and when it comes rushing down a hall towards you, it's quite an experience, especially because the effect clearly isn't faked (I won't point any fingers).

I'm not really sure if I would even recommend it at 3$ though.

I wonder what's happening with that big patch they promised for Iron Grip, was really looking forward to the new maps and better resolution support.
Iron Grip is Quake 3 engine so resolution tweaking is simple and easy.

Impressions on the overhauled version of Hydrophobia from Rock, Paper, Shotgun.

Even assuming all those impressions would sum up my overall experience, if it did hit $3 I would still buy it.

lol

I figured there would be a couple redeeming qualities in that link. Evisceration Totality.

The question after that: how much would I have to be paid to actually play it.

Hearts of Iron 3: For the Motherland has just been added to the registry.

The Vertigo Games comp that 3chopl0x posted about seems to be one game, as yet unnamed in the registry. Possibly their upcoming unannounced game? Complete guess though, it could be any of their games but that's the most likely in my opinion.

iBomber Defense sale is out? :( and Hydrophobia is not on sale in my region :(

I don't think it's on sale anywhere yet, the price hasn't updated.

But yeah, I'm annoyed about the iBomber Defense "sale" as well, just got in and I've missed it. I wouldn't mind if it was a day or two long and I was too late, but what was that, an hour tops?

You'd think so, but the vertical and horizontal mouse speed is different and some of the buttons aren't aligned properly when I set my native res (2560x1440)

Why or how? :p

Here's some of the how.. though probably not comprehensive (not listing bug fixes or general changes).
And, just for giggles, here's the first set of changes from Wiki.

I don't know what you're talking about my good princess.

:p

It was probably a mistake.

GOG has all three Fallout games (FO1, FO2 and Tactics) for $2.99 each until July 4th.

Any chance Steam will top that?

nope, there's a little controversy with those games in specific so they don't go on sale on steam.

I doubt it. GoG is a wonderful complement to Steam though. I would recommend going with those deals.

So if there's no midweek madness, that pretty much guarantees tomorrow or thursday?

I wouldnt say confirms, but it gives a good chance. However, there were some midweek madnesses who simply popped up 2-3 hours later than usual, so lets wait before cheering.

No. Not even close. Zero.

The Midweek Sale isn't up yet, but it's been stated what it is already (Hydrophobia) via that game's developer's Twitter.

The Summer Sale will come when it comes (if it comes). At this point everybody is predicting every day as the start of the sale and it's getting silly.

Oh, I will definitely get Hydrophobia at that price. If Blue Toad is anything like Puzzle Agent, I'll get that too.

This thread is like watching a bunch of children learn there's no Santa Claus every day at 1 PM.

Yay, but its not up yet for every region? Or not up in any region?
Not up in the US, at least.

The Midweek/Weekend Sales sometimes don't launch at exactly 12:00 CST like the Daily Deals do. This is not out of the ordinary.

I see. I just finished reading the RPS article posted by cicero and, besides the water effects, it doesn't seem like the game has any redeeming qualities whatsoever. It's not like 3$/2.5€ is a lot but if it's crap and I'll end up dropping it, there's not much use in buying it.

Thanks.

I enjoyed it and I'm going to double-dip for that price. But then again I tend to like some games that GAF hates (See Bionic Commando 2009).

Haha, what does that mean though? I haven't been contacted by anyone!

It can only mean good. I hope they pick up Oil Blue to distribute. I pimp the fuck out of that game to anyone who will listen. I love it.

Weekend Deal?

Or are they saying the Steam Sale starts just before the Weekend with a discount on Serious Sam and that on Monday they will be a featured deal with a greater discount.

If you look at the midweek madness, it says it ends Thursday at 10AM. Don't they usually end on Thursday at 4PM? Another hint that the sale is Thursday.

Edit: Post above beat me to it
