GFWL has got to be the stupidest POS ever, bought Arkham Asylum at retail when it came out, then recently bought the GOTY edition in a Steam sale only to find out that my saves and cheesemints don't cross over. This is the first and only game I've ever gone after cheesemints for as well... :/

Good excuse to play through again I guess.

How long does a support ticket take to get a response?
I have just put one through to try and get a refund on my renegade ops pre-order.

But just think, now you can get all those cheevos twice!

Hey man, I went through A LOT of tedious predator missions and puzzle hunting to get them numbers! I can't just forget about that and do it again, shit is emotionally draining.

Daily Deal: Broken Sword series 50% off

Weekend Deal: Fable III + DLC 66% off.

I just wanted to thank Bobby Truffles for gifting me The Binding of Isaac! Steam says I've only played it for 6 minutes, lolno, I'm really hooked! (Maybe it has to do with playing on a Mac).

Btw, I can't believe absolutely all my friends who didn't have Portal 2 have bought it during the midweek madness. Fucking Paypal :(
I'm not begging for the game, really, I know I'll buy it this winter.

I'm guessing the GoG versions of the Broken Sword games would be a more comprehensive product; extras, compatibility... Can anyone compare the versions?

There are different achievements between Batman AA and Batman AA GOTY on GFWL?

Fable 3 is a game I want (loved 2) but I've heard too much bad shit to bite at £10.

£7.50 would be the sweet spot. A fiver would be ideal.
I would recommend to wait as well, I am willing to buy it again for 5 dollars and I bet for the winter sale it will be between 5 and 10.

I have a quick question, will the CSGO beta download on it's own when it's out? I never check it because I only have my installed games listed.

Yup but not just GFWL, it's different on the xbox as well between Batman AA and Batman AA GOTY.

So strange. Looking at the achievements they look identical. Wonder what was different about this than FO3 GOTY or CoD GOTY.

Cool to see Broken Sword- Director's Cut on Steam. I played a couple of hours of the GoG version (I also beat it back in the day- still one of my top favorite P&C Adventures) and my biggest complaint is that they didn't go back and up-res the original game content which is a shame because of the wonderful art direction. It makes the additional content kind of stick out like a sore thumb (or vice versa). From a story standpoint, I'm not sure I like how the new game starts with Nicole rather than George but that's a personal opinion I suppose.

There's no reason why it should. You'll probably see a CSGO Beta thread pop up when it's time.

Yeah I was thinking of the Christmas sale.

... or I could try my luck on Steamgifts, since I'm sure it will pop up now it's a deal.

That's true, I was seriously dissapointed by Fable 3, so I wouldn't recommend to spend a whole lot on it.

It's funny, I never played it originally and began with the DC. I was so hyped up to see this really awesome female character to play. I got so excited. This never happens! I thought. Only to find out that her parts were sort of haphazardly shoved in between this annoying American lawyer's parts, which were the bulk of the story. In reality, Nico was hardly in the game. Imagine my disappointment.

Still love the game though.

I still want to try it out of curiosity. I really did love Fable 2 so I don't want to accept that 3 is just shit :(
I love Fable 2 as well and I would recommend to play Fable 3 and I will buy it once it's cheap enough on sale but just be warned it has issues.

Amazingly, games can exist between the polar extremes of perfect and perfectly garbage. F3 isn't a bad game but it isn't nearly as good as it could have been and some of the more interesting concepts aren't fleshed out enough. The main question should be if it's worth your time; if you're planning on buying a lot of the big games this winter I'd hazard "no".

So you thought that Nico was the main character? That's actually interesting to hear but I suppose it makes sense since it's her face on the main cover.

We need to slow this down, give the Origin thread a chance to catch up.

Well, about a third of the thread is awkward will-they-or-won't-they Salsa/Stallion sexual tension or SteamListWars.

do i want to buy fable 3. probably not. might wait for it to hit xxx-mass sale. F2 bored me. lol.

F3 is exponentially more boring than F2.

if you know about 3's problems, you can play around them. Its mostly to do with how they fucked up the end game so if you're a completions, just do everything before you become king/queen.

We need to wrap that up in time for the next thread.

ehhhhhhh. Fable 3. I really want to play it because I've liked Fable 1 and 2 on the PC. But considering what I've heard about it, $17 might be too steep. $10 or lower I think I'd buy it no matter what anyone said.

No you don't want to buy Fable III. I played it on 360 and it was one of the most insulting titles I played.

-Regenerating health
-No menus, instead you have to tele back to your apartment to switch into whatever you want, same with level uping. It was more of a hassle and confusing than any menu would be.
-About an 8-10 hour quest, with nothing in the way side quests with actual merit.
-Combat was even reduced from 2. Spam is the word.

Save the money for something else. Buy like Witcher or Vampires. Or just wait on other sales for Risen, Witcher 2, etc.

I can think of only one reason on why to get Fable 3 ....

The reason I played through Fable III was the setting. There simply are not enough games with that Industrial Era feel and the game gets a lot of credit in my book for that, despite its many faults.

Praise da lord Bioshock Infinite is coming.
