Deathspank was a steaming pile of fail, so no thank you on more of that.

How is Deathspank a steaming pile of fail? I just bought the game the other day along with the Breath of Death VII/Cthulhu Saves the World bundle, I've only played the game for a bit but based off of the hour or so I have Deathspank seems like a fun hack n' slash with some cute writing. Plus I love the games aesthetic and how generally absurd it is. Is there some drastic turn for the worse after the opening? Why do you think it's awful?

I kinda enjoyed it as well. I'll eventually pick up 2/3.

I wish they would release a demo. I am interested in it, but I have my concerns about a console diablo-clone being ported to PC rather then the other way around. A major part of these games is having multiple abilities and weapons and being able to switch rapidly to fit the current situation.

Deathspank is more about its er.. well.. humor.. than it is about its gameplay and that shows.

Serious Sam is a wicked gahbidge series for chowdaheads.
Have the developers made any ovations about the quality of the PC port? I'm a little skeptical after SR2's performance.

Supposedly its going to be made in house but after SR2, that doesn't mean much. How was the port of Red Faction: Armageddon?

Volition is doing the port themselves, like they did with RFA. It should be fine.

I hope SR2 is a pre-order bonus for Steam. I love that THQ has been doing that for all their new releases.

Wouldn't doubt it, THQ has been supporting the PC community pretty well these last few years.

I'm not sure what's going on with steam, I created a new account and it's been stuck at "Creating new account..." with the popup window with the account details behind it. Be stuck for about 30 minutes...

Looks like GMG will have SR3, easy way to get it cheap with all the 20% off coupons they've been having.
@3chopl0x @THErybrad Hey guys, we WILL have it, but we're not sure when we'll have it up yet - contracts to sign!

The humor and characters are definitely the high points for me. But I did enjoy the gameplay too.

Oh good @ Volition doing the PC port of SR3. RFA was a great port. SR2 brought my last computer to its knees and still looked horrible.

edit: I meant RF:G. I've never played the RFA port. RF:G port was great.

It had some real problems, but they were eventually patched (mostly.) It was incredibly better than SR2 though, no doubt about that. If SR3 is at RF:G level of a port most people will be happy.

I've been meaning to download and install SR2 and follow the guide on the Steam forums for getting it to work. Based on a lot of feedback it seems to really make the game alright on PCs.

In the OT people said the performance was solid.
It mostly runs at 60fps/1080p on my i5-750/5850 rig with a few compromises (DX9 mode). Which is great considering how much stuff is usually blowing up and breaking apart. I expect SR3 to run even better.

Went back and got gold on the last level of Hamilton's Great Adventure, #5 in the world on that level (noticed a GAFfer at #6 as well, SUCKS TO BE YOU!)

Can't wait to go back and try the optional bonus levels. The only one I've played so far was the Steam summer sale one which was about an order of magnitude more complex than the regular world 1 levels.

Is there a joke I'm missing here? :s

The CD Key seller thread had some "interesting" feedback.

Essentially, games are cheaper in Russia and other developing nations. Said keys are able to be activated on Steam and Origin. People (like me) buy them for around 50% off the US prices.

Oh wow, those CD Key resellers are actually legit? I always thought they were cracked/genned keys being sold for enormous profit.

Getting gold on the summer one was a real pleasure. There is a ton of value in Hamilton, even at 10$.

Ah I didn't see that thread, I don't really care what people have to say about it anyway, it's not the same as piracy at all.

Most games retail for around $19.99 in Russia. Sell it online for $25 and you make a nice profit. The sites have to be kinda down low because the retailer surely signs an agreement with the distributor not to distribute outside of the region.

As far as I'm concerned, a license is a license.

The keys, at the very least, are legit and aren't being generated or anything like that.

Some are so you have to be careful.

There's no such thing as a illegal pirated Steam key generator. Just find a site that's emails you a picture of the CD key on the box.

As stupid as it sounds I'd avoid them just because they aren't in my region. I'm region locked. I don't want to see "Witcher 2 [RU]" in my steam list. No offense to russians.

There are keys that are considered illegitimate and the offending games have been removed from peoples Steam accounts.

This has happened on more than one occasion.

As Stallion said, there have been multiple accounts of Valve not only removing said game from the person's account but also locking said account. It's not worth it to me.
