It all comes down to question how much do you like adventure games. If a lot, and don't mind some convolutiveness with them, that's a good bundle. (><)

Looks like most of them are point and click games, Blackguards is the only exception. I probably should wait then

Just completed Super Sanctum TD and holy crap some of those achievements are laughably bugged. Did a perfect run on normal and I got the achievement for beating the final boss as well as doing a perfect run on hard. Then later I exited out to the title screen and got the " beat the game on normal", "beat the game on normal - perfect", "clear Brightholme" (didn't realize that hadn't popped before!), and "clear Elysion" achievements. Super lol.

Edit: Oh, and nah, I didn't back the game. I've become disillusioned towards pledging to successful Kickstarters as the devs, understandably, can't guarantee that the higher-tier goodies will (or won't) carry over to Steam. I certainly wouldn't have backed Broken Age if I knew Double Fine was going to stuff up the key distribution and ignore any pleas by those who backed $25 or more to receive the Steam version of the OST. Utterly appalling, really.

At first:

But then:

And later on:

Nothing since. All DF had to do was make a separate sub for the OST alone, get keys from Valve, and submit them to Humble to distribute to those who pledged $25 or more. But nope.

I know plenty people are pissed at this and other factors at how things were handled. At least Obsidian have been pretty upfront by saying Eternity is going to be GOG or Steam and all the extras are through their site (and there's a lot of extras).

They make fun games but CoffeeStain are kinda awful at polishing. I'm still amazed that the original release of Sanctum 2 neglected to mention tower upgrade cost, so you had to blindly guess when upgrading between waves. How do you miss that in a tower defense game?

I tried out this Playfire rewards thing but I haven't gotten any credit yet. It has been three days since I linked my Steam account and I've gone for some of the easy rewards, like launching a game for the first time.

Eternity was the last projected I backed*... but I had to cancel my pledge when I forgot all about it and consequently overspent on Steam the week the kickstarter was scheduled to end, haha.

* From the looks of things I'm going to have to throw some money towards Flying Hamster 2.

Isn't Ghost Recon: Phantoms supposed to be F2P? Why does it cost £15 on GamersGate?

Weapons:

Mk 16
PM5 (Assault)

PP2000
MK 46
PM5 (Specialist)

Armors:

Tier III Special-edition OPM Tactical Suit (Specialist)

In-game bonus:

7-Day 50% XP/RP boost
50x Grenades
20x Storage Space
20 game rounds of Special Ammo

Goddamn, that Steam thread is a graveyard.

On another note, played some Goat Simulator last night. IhavenoideawhatI'mdoing.gif

Still though, I love it.

latest ep of the wolf among us is the best yet. everyone should buy it while the sale lasts

Yep, definitely worth it. Still need to replay to (hopefully) unlock my achievements, since they glitched out the first time through.

Nah, waiting until it's complete and 75% off. Buying Telltale games early is for chumps

I like the wait and discussion. it's better to digest the episodes in my experience and it's cool to have something on the side to look up to on the release schedule that doesnt take you a ton of hours to finish

of course it's up to personal opinion but the episodic releases work fine for me

I was (mostly) kidding, I played TWD like a week before the final episode came out and can't say I enjoyed the wait. It was kinda fun speculating on what would happen I guess.

Plus my memory is terrible so episodic releases don't really work for me

The Anno games look interesting. Why is this specific one not available?

Long story short, a later patch introduced a severe bug with the save system and Ubi didn't update the Steam versions as it did the retail and other DD versions, so the Anno 1404 games were eventually pulled. At the end of the last year, Ubi finally begun working on the Steam versions, a few weeks after I sent them an e-mail about it, but there hasn't been any activity since February.

It's build a bundle system for this one? So 2 games of your choice for $1 is the minimum.
(I thought they went away with the build a bundle system)

So, Cryostasis just got patched and was given a EULA in addition to some redist depots. Maybe it's coming back.

My gf loves Banished, are there some other similar (good) games out there?

You can get 1849 right now on Indiegamestand for >$1.00. It's been greenlit and will launch on steam somewhere around May 5. Obviously you'll get a steam key then, atm it's DRM free. Think of it as pre-ordering!

No, for $1 you get everything in the first lot, for $3 everything it seems.

I know it's got issues but shiny water Physx be damned I'd be happy. Saying that aren't there some Steam redeemable bundle keys floating around?

Probably, but they'd be running low by now. The game hasn't been bundled in almost 18 months.

I noticed Atelier Escha & Logy: Alchemists of the Dusk Sky is published by Tecmo Koei, what are the chances of those games coming to steam? I'm not too familiar with Gust

I filled out a ton of their surveys advocating PC releases for their Dynasty Warriors a few days ago. Yay.

and you didn't mention the sexy beach?

I played a fair bit of their earlier Atelier games on the PS2 and early PS3. Gust is like an European game company, a bit janky. But you can't deny the charm that their games exudes. All in all, deep crafting system, fairly simple battle systems and cutesy girls everywhere.

0%. Gust develop mostly for the Playstation consoles, although there have been some Atelier games for the Nintendo DS too.

Just had a look on Steam Trades and TF2 Outpost and it's not going for that much. Granted way more than I d want to pay. Any idea why it got yanked? Looking at how many publishers this had at retail I'd assume it was an agreement coming to an end of something.

Why do I get the feeling the Ar Tonelico series would be right up your street? Saying that I didn't mind the first one despite cringing through the visual novel Dive segments.

That gap

Not even PSO is immune to unicorns

Verdict:

Hilariously bad story-writing as usual. PSO2 delivers on a decent MMO experience. You depart to each quest through the drop ship and you're there alone unless you make a party. Each map instance is private and I know some won't like that.

Friend-making seems hard. You must be in the same place for you to add friends, which basically means the lobby. There are also about 20+ lobbies for beginners, those who want hard quests, and free-liners. You can also opt to join parties for quests in the lobby, though I can forsee it being hard to join random parties since most will go into this with established friends.

On customisations, they're pretty good. Accessories seem pretty limited, but you can make of it what you do. Major complaint is that you can't edit the angle and placement of cat ears, which is basically the entire reason I went into this. You can shape your face and body however else you wish though. I also want a nicer outfit, but I think you can find those as you progress through the game.
After Black Desert though, they pale in comparison.

On performance, I'm playing on default, which delivers a smooth 60 fps (my laptop's limit), except for weird places where it slows to a crawl of single-digit fps for about 2 seconds. Usually happens during loading or when starting dialogue, so it doesn't affect gameplay much, but can really make your eye twitch if you're really sensitive to this.

Also hair physics are pretty hilarious.

There's also a hidden 4th class that they don't allow us to use. Asiasoft pls.

Steam overlay also doesn't work as the actual game client is separate from the game launcher.

Overall, a pretty enjoyable beta experience. *Rubbing it in your faces*

Yeah, my guess is that 1C's publishing contract expired, but the EULA still mentions 1C as the publisher, so maybe it inked another contract (assuming the game is returning).
