If all goes well I will be transferring to UT next summer so I will get to enjoy Austin's comparatively nice weather soon enough.

Houston is annoying to navigate but it's big enough to where there's always something to do.

"already has enough votes": Valve doesn't release a number of votes you need to get greenlit, it releases a number of votes you need to get to the top 100, and it greenlights stuff based on all sorts of bonkers metrics and at pretty random intervals. But yeah it'll get greenlit.

I checked votes of games greenlit lately, basically above 3K is always a go. It's easy to do that now, with favourites showing number of votes.

edited: talking about votes, would it kill you guys to upvote Fantasy Mosaics? I really want it and dev seem not willing to go bundle way to get votes.

It is kind of interesting that Acti still wants to do this. I guess they figure with Skate out of the way they will basically own the market. But Tony Hawk Ride bombed and Pro Skater HD was ill received. I almost see whatever this game is as the last chance for the series at Acti. Unless Hawk is literally paying them to make them. Regardless if it has a story mode on par with THUG i'm there.

So I have a couple hundred bucks from my birthday, and some more money coming my way soon. I'm debating between getting a New 3DS XL next week, or waiting a month or two and getting a GTX 980 (I'd probably have to upgrade my PSU and get an SSD and new case at the same time though).

What do you all think? I have a normal XL and my PC has a 760. I know Steam-GAF is probably more inclined to go with a GPU upgrade but I can't decide what I should go with.

If you play a lot of Monster Hunter 4 or want to pick up Xenoblade I think the New 3DS XL is worth upgrading to. Just don't expect it to be a massive upgrade for most games unless you keep the 3D cranked up.

GPU is the better pick if you can only get one though just because it'll make such a massive difference in your day to day gaming for an unlimited amount of games.
