It's the real RE3 for me, i must've played through that game like 3 times back in the day which is a lot for someone who plays through a game once and puts it away

RE3 is the real RE3 for me. The fact that CVX despite being the newer title has less changes to it's mechanics than the prior title is pretty sad. RE3 had Dodging, Ammo Creation, Choice Selection among some things. CVX had dual wielding and wonky FPS segments. That's not to say CVX is bad, but I just find it funny that so many people consider it this very high title in the series. The story is definitely it's strongest part. Though even then I would consider RE3 above it.

I started it last year and was having a pretty good time until I got randomly killed off and lost 1.5 hours of progress. Either the typewriters are too spread out or I missed one.

It's known to be the most unfair out of the original style games.

it hit me extra hard because just a few hours ago I was muling over the midweek and weekend deals always being the same pool of 20 or some games, especially after doing a pass on my wishlist yesterday and seeing SO MANY FUCKING games that never got a sale

also, I shaved off about 200 games off my wishlist in that first pass, im happy with it for now

The fact that it actually forwards the plot does seem to be where a lot of people sit with it. That definitely was RE3's biggest flaw. It adds to the universe but just doesn't move it forward which is a shame.

From what I've read, CV was meant to be the true sequel to RE2, while RE3 the side-story, but something something contracts. Numbered sequel had to be on PS maybe?
