For the love of Pete do not Goggle image search 'Dino Junkies' with safe search disabled!

That naked dude with yellow hair and a red beard? He has more dignity than everyone in here who ruined their avatar with that CA-crap.

Weirdos that don't want to look at awesome pictures of dinosaurs having sex with cars, that's who.

I didn't get that. Where can I get that?

Okay, found an AT-AT having sex with a dinosaur, good enough.

you don't wanna know
but i do

elaborate

This demand coupled with the new avatar makes this post look like quite the threat lol.
i call it my "feral avatar"

goes pretty well with my current state of mind i think

Replace 'videogames' with 'SP' and 'gizmos' with 'MP' and welcome to the world of HL/Valve SP fans :p
i find it really curious that there are any half life fans remaining considering how valve gave up on it

but i understand the sentiment

Why are people so desperately fending for GMG. I don't know if they just hate CDPR or want to calm themselves because they bought a lot of GMG and are scared. There is surely something to say of the behaviour of CDPR, but GMG has decided to do whatever they did and people need accept that it isn't CDPRs fault that some don't have real keys from GMG.

I would do yours but I'd probably have Paul Breitner come round and stove my head in.

Sides! Everyone has to pick a side for christ's sake!!! Never mind they are 2 corporate entities who value your money more than your feelings.

Some impressions for House of 1000 Doors: Family Secrets: (You know, because bundles!)

The story: You play struggling novelist Kate Reed (on the plus side, she's got a name! On the other hand, do female protagonists have a limited pool for names? I dunno about the timeline, but it sounds like a portmanteau of Syberia's Kate Walker and Cognition's Erica Reed.) You're invited to a seance where the ghost of your grandmother tells you to clear her name by going to the mysterious House of 1000 Doors, a house that jumps around in time and space and whose doors pretty much do the same. You only find out what your grandmother did in the bonus chapter. Along the way, you encounter a few minimally-to-not-at-all helpful residents of the house, and a few lost souls that you have to save...because surprise, you're a medium!

It's a great concept, and one that could have allowed itself far more sequels than it currently has, but in this game anyway, the execution falls kinda flat. Nothing in the game that you do meets the primary objective, and at one point you're invited to become a resident of the House (which Kate would have no reason to do if she wants to get info about her grandmother to the press, and let's face it, no reason to trust the owner of the House whatsoever.)

The puzzles: Mostly easy except for one absolute bullshit train-track puzzle. A grid would have made that puzzle fair, but otherwise it's very hard to tell whether or not a track can be put in certain spots. The hidden object scenes aren't bad, but they do that annoying thing some do where you only get 8 things on your list at once, even if you have to find 15 things, so your list gets replenished. Just show me everything I have to find right away, please.

The inventory puzzles are frustrating. You'll receive several items that do pretty much the same job, but only one will actually do a specific job. Need to cut away a bush? How about this knife, this sharp axe, this scythe, how about burning it away with acid, cutting it with this fragment of mirror...nope, I need pruning shears. I need to put out this fire, but a pot of water won't do, only a bucket of water will. And don't even get me started on the fact there are two lanterns in the game which aren't interchangeable.

The graphics: Maximum resolution supported is 1024x768. Otherwise everything is drawn pretty well, even if animating certain things was shoddy (a ghost floating down the stairs in a zig-zag pattern as if it was walking was particularly hilariously bad.)

The audio: Average. The voices were neither good nor bad, music and sound were just okay, nothing outstanding.

The length: the game plus bonus chapter took me 6 hours. Would have been less without the bullshit train puzzle. So overall pretty good amount of content on that front.

The verdict: It's a middle-of-the-road hidden object game. If you like that genre, nothing about this game will surprise you but you might like the setting. If you're new to the genre or not a big fan of it, there are better options out there.

WOOHOO!!!! :D and all of that absolutely free too :D

Greetings my dear Chirpies!

Today we are proud and excited to bring you our first large content update: Cities: Skylines 1.1.0 - European Theme. This update is, as promised, totally free to all our players - current and future.

So what are you getting today?

Over 50 European style buildings
Wall-to-wall buildings enabling players to build those European streets and neighbourhoods
Three new starter maps
Tunnels, one of the community’s most requested features
A number of Asset Editor additions including the ability to import custom vehicles
A multitude of smaller cosmetic additions and bug fixes.

Please note:

The European style buildings are a map theme, meaning you will need to play a map in the European biome in order to see them.
Many mods and (some) custom assets will not work with 1.1.0 and will need updating by their author. We have worked hard to cause as few conflicts as possible with popular mods, yet this is a substantial update and with the code & functionality changes some issues have been impossible to avoid. Going forward we aim to find a solution where we can work with our core modders pre-launch to give them ample time to adjust their creations before the public have access.

Our brand manager (the handsome guy you've seen in several videos) has the following to say about the expansion plans for Cities: Skylines.

“Cities: Skylines will continue to follow the traditions set by other recent Paradox releases such as Crusader Kings II and Europa Universalis IV of paid expansions combined with large updates of free content ensuring that all players, whether they choose to purchase the expansions or not, will have plenty of new features to look forward to. One of the major differences, however, between those titles and Cities: Skylines will be that minor DLC updates will be uncommon. The majority of content updates will be significant upgrades and additions.

Going forward, we will focus on giving away the main features for free and improving the modding tools, while also selling major expansions around new mechanics. But we will also continue to offer free content such as new buildings and road types.”

Amazon.de has the Witcher 3 CE in stock again for PC and PS4 if for some reason you want to scare your pets and children with Geralt's face.

I would do yours but I'd probably have Paul Breitner come round and stove my head in.

Since he's become a proper cunt over the years I imagine he'd be totally into CA-ing himself and making other's eyes bleed.

Lemma, which someone brought up here a few days ago, has a demo now.

Thanks, gonna try it (and then move the game around on my wishlist accordingly as if that makes any difference).

Anyone try both KB/m and controller for Witcher 3? Which did you prefer. I played an hour or so before work and KB/m felt weird to me. Might switch to controller.

KBAM felt extremely clunky and unresponsive to me, moreso than even vanilla Witcher 2 did. I would hit a movement key and watch Geralt take about a second to begin his step, and attacks seemed delayed a bit as well. Bringing up menus felt fine, but anything that required Geralt to do something had a significant enough delay that I had to stop. I think part of it is the low framerate I get, so I'm not sure if it's a symptom of just that or if the KBAM controls are a little wonky.

I'm hoping for it to go on sale this week, maybe Midweek Madness. Enhanced Steam is telling me that it's $18 on some DLGamer site with a coupon code, but it's not a site I've ever heard of.

looks like still $18 on Nuuvem. If you enjoyed the good Sim City back in the day...pick this up. It's just fantastic.

Fucking traffic man.

Wonder how much Windows 10 will cost. Hmmm.

Just upgrade within the year, it states in the article the offer expires in a year than the upgrade costs money.

Unless your on XP or Vista, got to pay when you're on either of those operating systems.

I'll ride out my 8.1 then until all the kinks are out of 10 then upgrade. Unless it gives a significant boost to gaming...then I'll upgrade day 1.

Stupid question: I download Win 10 for free (I have Win 8.1), I format my HDD. I lose the license to use Win 10?
Or is the license binded to Microsoft account?

Well for example when i upgraded Win 7 to Win 8 they told me that i would need to do same if i ever do clean install because that is how upgrade works. But they changed that so my Win 8 key now works with clean Win 8.1 install without issues. So if MS is smart enough they will do same for Win 10.
