If other developers learn one thing from Overwatch, I hope it's how important having accessibility and option menus can be for games.

considering there's 2 exclusive games for it i'd hardly consider it alongside something like the PSBone revisions

Considering how much faster it runs, it's a godsend. Was on my buddies old 3DS and those things are so slow. Don't know how people put up with that for so long. Especially if they went all digital.
I'm all for accessibility options. I'm glad this has been a big push for this gen.
It being a failed sequel iteration doesn't disqualify it. PS4K will likely have its own (VR) exclusives, but still play standard PS4 games. And it might fail too (though I doubt it).

Excited! Just had that joyous flush of excitement when it dawned on me that Mankind Divided is now less than three months away - and Dishonored 2 is less than three months after that. Good times for stealthy gaming.
Still counts tho.
So when are we all moving to Xbox and UWP? Seems only a matter of time till Steam is dead in the water. Even Oculus are on board with Xbox. The writings on the wall. It's either that or we all join salsa and get 3DS - that definitely has stayed away from these new generational updates... 
Awesome. Despite enjoying HR till the end part, I've been in two minds over the direction of Deus Ex since I was such a fan of the original game. Hope there can be more narrative paths for everything and all manner of solutions for mission, and improvements to stealth stuff in particular.

I think Sony isn't allowing devs to make Neo-exclusive games so basically your point works even less in your favour

The DRM of Universal Apps is going to be a problem for Xbox to get a foot hold over steam for third parties. There's just no reason to buy a locked down third party game compared to it being on steam as well. Aside from maybe a crazy sale or price error like there was with Tomb Raider. I don't see the Xbox store being much different than Origin. In that everyone here will go for the exclusives. But not bother when it comes to anything else.

Supposedly there won't be any exclusive games for the PS4K that aren't on PS4 though. Although I can seem them lifting this for a couple of VR games.

They'll have exclusive games. But i'm betting much like the N3DS it'll be a handful at most. No reason to kill off 20 million + owners for such a small profit.
As soon as Windows 10 Anniversary update deletes all of our personal data, including Steam login info and Valve's Mobile Auth servers.
Overwatch is the most innovative game I've not played in years!

Yeah, at least mine was free. The game is great fun but its really irritating how every single server is always the same couple of initial missions. Finding people to play the other levels is really hard
Even thought the earlier missions do get way more play, Vermintide isn't dead at all.
I beat all the missions on nightmare with various randoms like last month.

News to me. Finding a game on a normal difficulty for the latter missions proved very difficult. And considering how broken some missions can be overall, attempting them with the AI was just a recipe for inducing Hulk like rage fits. I have not played the game since I had to redo the final mission over and over to trigger the ending and get my achievement because the netcode had some sort of bug where a player joining caused the game to enter a state where the 3 of us who had finished the mission were left roaming the map... only after the 3 of us attempted suicide to get the game to recognize the bad state it was in and that the ending should've triggered, the late joiner left and we were greeted with the game over screen.
Cancel and buy keys for whatever you do want from people looking to get rid of spares.
Yeah that's what I'm leaning towards. Rocket League looks cool but I never play multiplayer stuff and I have my doubts that I'd get that much out of it as a single player game.

I'm pretty confident that the only difference we're going to get out of the new consoles is IQ differences.
Every other upgrade to a console has had major component upgrades outside of just CPU/GPU.
SegaCD had a huge capacity boost that wasn't possible on cartridge.
32X was night and day difference. Though it still could use the SegaCD to pull data from.
The N64 expansion pack only resulted in two games being exclusive to it. And one of the games included the damn thing. So it only had 1 exclusive game. All other games that supported the expansion pack allowed you to flip a HQ mode in the options.
If PS4.5 and X1.5 retain 8GB of total RAM, the general architecture of GCN and AMD CPU remaining the same with the possibility of a few extra extensions for the new models, there is way more similarity between these models that are upgrading versus previous console upgrades.

It's a shame you don't have the ability to try it. I'm not a huge multiplayer guy either a lot of the time and I'm not heavily into racing/driving games or sports games either, so it fails to appeal to me with pretty much every aspect of it's core gameplay. I tried it on PS4 since it was given out with PS+ at some point... definitely seems to be hit or miss in that you either really love it or you don't care at all -- the middle ground seems to be absent.
i think my review of overwatch would be:
+ awesome light hearted art direction that feels fresh and also reminds me of like 90s cartoons like x-men or something. i love all the color, the design on the mechs and the characters themselves, the stretch blob thing animation style, etc. i like the music too quite a bit
+ champion kits are most all fun and varied, so there's something for everyone and you always feel impactful
+ i really like the focus on teamplay rather than twitch mechanics or whatever. building a good and balanced teamcomp is often the deciding factor in games
+ the game seems fairly balanced, there's a solution for every frustrating character: reinhardt, bastion, genji, etc.
- i really wish you would be informed of what game mode are you playing at least somewhere. ATTACK and DEFEND is super confusing unless you played the same map a billion times. it shouldn't be too difficult to add a "capture point" and "push payload" texts in the loading screens
- some champions have really lame abilities. first that comes to mind is symmetra's e, which is basically something you use once and then forget. also i think some champions fail in having a few more hooks on their basic abilities. like d.va's e is a really boring ability that doesn't feel like it meshes well with the rest of her kit
that's about it, the game's great

D.Va's shield is meant to protect you when you dive bomb into a group of enemies
but Overwatch is bad though lol 20 ticks
yeah i think if this were league d.va would get some rework stuff done cos she doesn't have much going for her outside of her ult. the flying thing is really fun but it doesn't feel like it belongs on a tank and her shield and her basic gun are not very much fun

Yeah, I really wish I had tried it during the free weekend. My self control on buying games recently has been terrible, though I'm at least playing some of them.
There's a part of me that wonders if Blizzard did the whole lower tick rate thing intentionally to scare away elitists and the ultra competitive because they know they'd just be toxic to the player base.

They'd need to split it to shift for ground boost and holding space for elevation or something. Not player cam pathing for sure.

CSGO catches shit for 64 tick but Overwatch doesn't for a third of that. It's interesting.
