Steam Summer Sale 2015 thread of refunding everything you buy (June 11-21)

Ultra-stingy sale prices from Capcom. Rather than earn them extra $$$ I suspect it's lost them money, as people like me won't bite REmake and Dead Rising 3 at those sale prices.

I get where you're coming from and thats one of the huge benefits of PC gaming (we have options to improve things ourselves) but at the same time, it shouldn't be an expectation when buying a game that the user should have to fix it themselves. If it is buggy and crashes, consumers should be made aware, and if there are fixes that's useful info as well.

ok, sure.

OMG people, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE be aware that Fallout 3 GOTY has a problem with repeated crashes, sometimes at start up.

there is hope, however. You can take 1 minute of your time using google to look up the fix and implement it (which involves changing a few numbers) or you can not buy it out of principle and join the countless other serious gamers who refuse to do a big company's work.

Haven't decided if I want to pull the trigger on DBZ: XV. I played it on PS4 and didn't like the controls. I guess I always could just get a refund.

What principle? Fallout 3 is buggy, so is New Vegas. But that doesn't stop me from playing some of the best RPGs of our time. Refusing to do a little fixing if needed is a childish stance, but you have all the right to think that way.

I frankly love that aspect of games. I spent probably 25% of the "time-played" in Skyrim trying to get it to work nicely with 100 mods. It's not for everyone I guess.

Crapcom are probably the worst in regards to sales.

I don't even know how many years RE5 has been on my wishlist and how many years it's sale price was a joke. Even now it's kind of a joke and then they pull this crap with the gold edition. Nooooo thanks!

Will ask again since the thread went in some kind of hyper mode posting ;O

So from today on there's kinda summary of the whole sale?
I thought that last day (22nd) is that kind of day.

People are speculating that the weekend will be an encore sale, a collection of the most popular sales.

Also to be clear, the last full day of sales (in NA at least) is the 21st. At 1pm eastern on the 22nd, the sale will be over so don't wait till Monday afternoon to pick up anything.

The Resident Evil Franchise Pack makes no sense.... its more expensive to buy the games bundled than to buy them individual...

Does Fallout 3 still have GFWL?

When I tried to buy it (without a vpn), I got a "Product is not available in your region" error. Is there something special I need to do?
They might have locked it since? That's too bad if true, but it's still worth the Steam sale price.

Been waiting for Killing Floor 2 to drop in price as I loved the first game. Sadly not the kind of discount I was hoping for.

Anybody know how much content there is in this game at the moment, is it worth the price?

Dice

Pokémon Parentage Conspiracy Theorist
Dragonball 50%? Too slow. Arma 3 got to me first for sizable purchases.

RE franchise daily but Remake same as it was before? GTFO and learn how to sale Capcom.

So, what's with downloading on Steam? Did their server get more hammered this sale? Because I haven't had so slow downloads in the last years during the sales.

Alright Steam-Gaf, Trails in the Sky, yay or nay? It's been a while since I've played a "classic" JRPG style game before, and I'm thinking this might be a good game to play while going on some flights later this year. Would I have any troubles running it on a laptop with integrated graphics (Intel HD 5000)?

It took them a good two years to drop DmC's base price from the $50 it launched at, for crying out loud. (I gave in and bought it this sale, because it was the lowest price yet. I'm weak.)

4 official maps, 4 classes (10 total are planned for release) and not all the planned weapon types. At that price I'd say no. I picked it up earlier for cheaper thanks to some GMG discounts + credit and I kinda regret it. I did get 20 hours of it but I'd wait until they add more stuff. I think they're planning for a full release by the end of the year and they said they'll be wiping progress before then so you might as well wait.

Thanks for the feedback, I might wait then.

Can you play Dark Souls 2 with keyboard/mouse? I have original Dark Souls on Steam (friend gifted to me) but never played it once because its a pain to install and people said it was unplayable with PC control setup, plus I don't have a gamepad.
