Guess I'll have to pick up The Old Blood and EDF later then.
So far I bought Rainbow Six Vegas 2 (just to have it on steam already have physical version), Tomb Raider for the wife, one finger death punch, Charlemagne DLC for CK2 and I think that's it. Spent under a tenner so far, not bad at all. RSV2 was worth the £1.74 paid just to play through co-op again.

Yep. One of those "Wait for next sale" games for me. God, steam sales have made us entitled assholes lol.
Oh, thanks for this! I had just bought the original earlier and didn't realize there was an additional discount on Ascension which I had also wanted but not at the original sale price. But for $5.69, I'll take it! (And then spend more than that on the DLC. Fucking hell.)
Also, a word of warning, apparently Full Control, the dev of these Space Hulk games, is in dire financial straits and so their future is looking pretty uncertain right now. No idea if that will affect the availability of these titles down the line but a potential lack of future support is something to keep in mind.

There are no monster game unlocks coming tomorrow. That's probably the single biggest hint, aside from an established tradition of final-day encore sales.

To be fair to Yacht Club they are adding a free dlc expansion to the game.
Shovel Knight is totally worth $10 still.

It's a great game, so yes. I'd hold off on any DLC though - the base game should be more than enough.
Even during the winter sale, it will probably hit -66% off at most, so there's no sense in waiting if you want to play it now.

I already paid full price for Shovel Knight on 3DS. I can wait for a discount to $5 on Steam.
Woo, thanks. Just bought it. The 25% doesn't work off of the 35.99, but that's still the cheapest I've seen the game from a trusted site.
Indeed and that's just the first to come. In addition to the mode where you play the game through using Plague Knight there will be similiar conversion that allow you to play with King Knight and Specter Knight. Then there will be Gender Swap mode, Challenge Mode and 4-player Battle Mode... How they're going to pull this all of financially is something I do not know but it should be good.

I typically dislike early access and survival games, but I had a great time with this. It is just what I wanted: island hopping, diving in shipwrecks, creating huts, cooking crabs on a campfire under the moonlight, basically cast-away stuff.
The game is beautiful and there is plenty to do. It is refreshing that there aren't zombie pirates or other stupid survival game bs. Yes, there are sharks. They used to be really aggressive but the developers greatly toned down the spawn rate and aggressiveness. There are also mods to make the sharks peaceful - I am a baby when the shark music starts playing.
There are only two developers for the game (though I think they recently got more) and they are pretty slow to release updates. However, the updates add a lot of neat things and sometimes break the game in funny ways: land whales, flying sharks, sinking rafts.
Edit: I guess the discount isn't bigger than before the daily and they are doing the same thing as ARK and GTAV. Sigh

Follow the twitch chat of the steam summer monster game group. They've been making new games occasionally through the day on previous days, I think. It's especially viable now that with the right number of high level players, you can achieve level cap in much less than a full day.

Even then, you just need a couple people messing it up through ignorance or schadenfreude. Tried two games today, both had multiple people that would use wormholes on level x95 or so and skip right on past the hundred level.I feel like if you don't join a team right at reset, you have no chance.

Steam is confusing me, usually when I have a game with cards to earn from playing it, it'll say how many on the badge page.
The summer sale one says
"Cards earned: 22
Cards earned through purchases: 4
Cards earned by participating in the Community Event: 18"
And on the badge thing says I have 18 card drops remaining...how do I get these drops? :u

I've paid both less and more for disappointing games. For me Shovel Knight was a polished game that ticked all the right boxes. Guess it depends what you value.

I wouldn't get RE6 if you're mostly interested in the single player campaign.
Yes, get both RE games.
I don't think Arkham Origins is ever going to get a GOTY edition.

RE6 is amazing. The campaign, admittedly, has its ups and downs. I mostly thought it was great, but a lot of people had issues with it.
The Mercenaries mode though... Holy shit. If you like third-person shooters then buckle up and get ready for a crazy ride. The game has hands-down some of the best TPS mechanics this side of Vanquish, and figuring out how to combo headshots into melee takedowns to get a time bonus while avoiding leaping zombies, charging mutants, and exploding enemies is a blast. RE6 Mercs is quite possibly the most fun you will have with a TPS.
I already have the game on 360 but I'm considering double dipping just so I can get this experience at 60 FPS on PC.
