I think you are misunderstanding me. I do not have time to just wait on the Steam page all day waiting for prices to go down X percentage. I purchased a nice amount of games that I've been waiting ages to play, all discounted. I am happy with the purchase. I arrive here, excited, to see a Steam Summer Sale thread and go in saying what I purchased. I check back later and am met with a crazy amount of negativity both in threads and in PM.

Why exactly does this warrant being talked down to again?

I've had a few anxiety attacks today, so I apologize for my apparent hostility. But the behavior of the people on this site has been declining for a while in my eyes and it pushed me over the boiling point.

1. You don't have to wait all day with the lowest time being 12 hours (flash sales) and the highest being 24 (the dailies).

2. Those games will keep their initial discounts for the period of the sale (any increases are usually until daily version expires)

3. The haul/list stuff is usually done on the last day or when the sale ends (apparently to keep the thread on topic).


i understand and apologize for my tone as well but it was like you were poking the hornets nest of sorts when people are saying not to then getting angryabout it (then the snowball repsonse).

Usually the responses are of some disappointment especially after the warnings and explanations so hopefully the reactions you got were not anymore than that.

I've never known a game that's been on a daily or flash sale to ever be lower later. I can't be 100% sure of this but I'm pretty sure it's never happened.

GTA V might be cheaper if Rockstar gets their shit together and stop being greedy assholes

Interestingly enough it's easy to buy a proper Uplay version and it's nearly impossible to buy a "global" Steam version - gifting is the only way really.

I believe Ubi began "language-locking" its games in response to Valve not really taking much of a stand against "rest-of-world" users using VPNs to activate gifts locked with the ACRTAG flag, but it's not necessary now that doing so also imposes a runtime-level restriction and Valve is presumably keeping a closer eye on things (the new message that appears when activating a region-locked gift categorically states that using a VPN is against the SSA). When Valve tightened the noose so, I was hoping Ubi would stop heavily region-locking its games in favour of just letting Steam handle it automatically, but alas, as you say, that hasn't happened -- AssCreed Syndicate, R6 Siege and even the upcoming Might & Magic game are all limited to Russian if bought in Eastern Europe. As a matter of fact, Acti and Ubi are the only two publishers that still impose unnecessary restrictions on its RU subs for whatever reason, although at least Acti limits onlyallowrunincountries to Call of Duty whereas Ubi language-locks all of its full-price games.

Honestly, that's a terrible deal for Mirror's Edge. I've seen it way cheaper.

Does it still like have major glitches? I heard the longer you play the worse the performance gets.

There's a guide to make the game run better, but yeah there's still some bugs and glitches. I haven't played it in a while though.

You can either use them to craft badges, or you can sell them on the community market for credit which you can put towards games. I always tend to do the latter. If the game is on the homepage with the rest of the main deals (daily/flash) then it is very very unlikely to be cheaper later on, unless if there is a price glitch at some point, so probably safe to buy then. If the game you want isn't part of the main deals for the day then don't buy it until it pops up on there or if it doesn't just buy it on the last day of sales.

Cool. Really wish it was lower than 29.99$ by now, but I'll sit on it a little longer and probably buy it. Is it as serious as it looks? I think that's part of the reason that kept me from jumping on it right away.

It's a Dead Rising game so you can make it as crazy as you like. And it'still the usual DR plot. You can mix match costume pieces and there are a tons of weapons to make. The really nice thing is that you have an armory that keeps every weapon you ever made and you can then take them from it and even multiple copies form it. There is an armory in every safehouse you clear too so you always have your weapons with you. So that you can't abuse there is a cooldown on the armory stuff though. Same thing for the clothes closet, you can change clothes at every safehouse and there are some crazy costumes.

It's also linked to the previous games story wise too.

It will probably be a daily deal or in a capcom sale though.

Crafting badges does basically nothing this time, so the price of the cards is low.

My autoclicker will click like a billion times more than the autohit powerup. critical's like, literally never hit. If I die it takes 5 seconds to revive myself.

Any reason to not just pump up my click power?

Well if you have played clicker heroes etc, you know what type of game you are at. The issue is the numbers are not reflecting what you are clicking at all. It just seems rather random.

To clarify, I'm doing 880 dmg per click, the team dps is moving between 30k-100k. We have 300 people here, and I'm spamming an easy 10k a second. So yah...

Thanks. Yeah GTA V seems to be the biggest game that did this. Such a shame, and a really bad practice.
