Got Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD since I felt the price was right. Took less than one 2 minute session to realize how much of a turd the game is unfortunately :(

How much?
And that bad? HOW DO YOU FUCK UP ONE OF THE CLASSICS?!?
It's really bad. The physics are all wrong. I bought it the day it came out on PC hoping to bask in it like I did THPS2 on PC(I played with the numpad for trick buttons since I did t have a good game pad, which seems insane now). It flat out feels bad.

Question: how does the CFATHERS10 code for eBay work? Is it limited to a specific listing or would one be able to apply it to any listing for Steam credit?

Edit: never mind. The PayPal gifts link no longer has the $50 card but Best Buy on eBay does and accepts the coupon code. Can do in store pickup so I'll just grab it tomorrow.

It's $4.89 (51% off) and the DLC that adds revert scoring, 4 skaters and 3 THPS3 levels is $2.44 (51% off).

The physics are awful and the controls feel bad too. I kind of knew it wasn't going to be great going in but man is this game lackluster.

Really want to pick up Pillars of Eternity. It's 25% off now but not a featured or daily deal. So here's hoping it shows up there before this is over.

The Metro games are good right?

First time ever in a legit Steam sale. The idea is wait to see if it's in a flash sale or a daily, right? So for example, DON'T buy Cities Skylines right now, but Valkyria Chronicles is a good time to buy, right?

Argh! My laptop's screen broke!

Can anyone recommend a decent laptop for gaming?

I realize laptops aren't the best for gaming, but honestly, I have no expectations of high end gaming/performance. I'm happy with low to mid settings and generally play older and indie games.

I'm looking for something under $1000.

Previously, I had a HP Pavilion dv6-6c35dx (A8-3520M; 6GB; Radeon 1.6Ghz)

Thanks!

Ah, thanks.
That really helps.

Can't tell if sarcasm or. Sorry for being vague, anyway. It's just the last 2 or 3 days, it jumps up, especially the last two. People trying to complete badges and whatnot. I'd purchase within the first days.

There was a problem trying to join a game. Please try again later.

Summer game. What's the deal?

Story of my life with it. Doesn't even matter anymore, I suppose. Doubt there's many people beneath level 10 at this point. Ugh.

Since the sale started I got 3 cards, yet I feel like I should have gotten 4. The game says I unlocked 2 cards and I spent 19€ on the store after the sale started (well, more like 1 hour after the sale started), which should give me 2 cards. Considering the meta game only updated to saying 2 cards unlocked 1 hour ago and the badge page saying I haven't spent any money on the store... I wonder what the hell happened.
It's only 1 card, but it is sorta annoying.

One of my favourite series' of all time. Honestly, one of the best atmospheres in a video game that I've ever seen. It's dark, cold, damp, depressing, but it's home. Truly beautiful, in a decrepit way.

The first game was more of a cult hit, but I loved it. The Redux fixed its clunky controls/shooting mechanics/sloppy stealth and features a super optimized engine for both games. Definitely recommended.

Pretty much having the same thing happening to me. Also where it says I haven't spent any money, even though I have, it's also saying that it's the 2014 holiday sale. Apparently I'm a sale behind y'all.

So, I bought Mirror's Edge for 50% off when it started in the flash sale. And now... it's 78% off? I'm not sure what the deal with that is. This is my first big Steam sale, and I've heard a lot of the "buy while it's a flash sale/daily deal, wait otherwise," but can the sale amount just change while it's in the same flash sale?

it was a pricing error, the game was actually not discounted from the base sale price, you can get a refund and purchase at the new price I think

It was bugged, 78% off is the actual flash sale price, 50% is the regular sale price. You might be able to get a refund and rebuy it.

Exactly, and good job on buying Valkyria Chronicles. Such an awesome game.

Price errors are a thing, and sometimes for the better. Refund the game and buy it at 78% off.

First day problems. A couple of the Flash Deals never really went up at 1pm, so you got stuck with the regular discount. Papers, Please, Capre Fulgur Collection, and now Mirror's Edge. If you look at the page now, it'll say "DAILY DEAL!" instead of whatever the rest of the deals show, that usually means it's safe to pick up.

You can go and refund it and pick up the cheaper copy for your inventory until it's processed.
