Mine is giving me 1 ticket towards the grand prize giveaway and the one from the group is only the only ticket I've got. So probably what Orellio said.

Mine's only showing one on my profile, but I've already got 3 and redeemed them for the TF2 shades.

Can anyone recommend interesting indie games released in the past year or so, particularly sidescrollers?

I've got Saira, NightSky, Terraria, Inside a star filled sky, Nimbus, and Eversion on my wishlist already.

Apologies if someone's already posted a list like this in the thread.

Last question before buying MoH...

Is it worth it for £6?
I really want the BF3 beta too but i guess you can snatch a key from somewhere nearer the beta date anyway...

i would say that its worth it.

i really enjoyed the MOH single player campaign, and also enjoyed the multiplayer a fair bit.

i paid $29.99 for it a couple months back and felt it was worth that price.

Thanks. Looks like Steam is queuing up a ton of other games that are updating and downloading those before Borderlands every two minutes so that's why it's been going slow.

I was really on the fence about it but decided against it. After reading some Metacritic reviews I figured I could just go back to one of the CoD campaigns or BC2 if I want my military shooter fix. But to each his own.

From the screens that some GAFfers posted, the graphics look quite good.
I'm prepared to sit through a dudebro campaign and i'm quite interested in the story and the setting too.

Just not sure if it is worth the £6...

In my Steam profile the one for joining the group is the ONLY one showing. I think there's just some lag updating the community pages.
Same deal here - I got the "Get a Tan" achievement for Toki Tori first, then joined the summer sale group after, but only the group ticket's showing. I think the volume of traffic's just doing some nasty things to that particular part of the community site. Both tickets do show up on the store page

Depends. In terms of funneled SP campaigns go, it's one of the better ones, with some great missions, but I thought overall it was pretty mediocre.

I actually really enjoyed MP. I'm thinking BC2 and MOH served as a testing ground for a number of ideas that are going into BF3, and the shooting model in BF3 seems more like MOH than BC2. The gunplay in MOH is very nice, IMO. The only negatives are really that the maps are overall pretty lackluster and there wasn't much post-launch support (I think there is one DLC pack?).

IMO, it's well worth $10, especially with the BF3 beta considered.

The achievement is for Beat Trip BEAT. You have to finish the first sequence of the first level.
It's not that hard. I don't think you can miss anything in that first section tho.

I finished the first stage and now my Brain is slowly melting. Great motherfucking game.

I really don't know why GAF is hyped over Bloodlines, it looks like an old bad generic game, from the past that everyone loved, essentially a cult following. I wouldn't even buy it for $5, or someone would need to convince me so much so.

The Haunted Mansion is one of the best level designs in gaming history. It's worth 5 dollars just for that. Genius in motion.

Oh man. I was gonna wait till the 11th to buy it :(

Last time i'm gonna listen to advise from GAF.

No. People were issuing stern warnings it was a price mistake and to not sit on your hump if you wanted it. That one's on you.

How long are all of the Back to the Future games?

Also how are the quality wise? I didn't really like the Telltale MI games frankly.

If you want stuff and can't be bothered playing the games then just use Steam Achievement Manager and unlock them, probably works for games you don't own also.

I'm so glad I brought my iPad to the beach with me this week. Relatively safe today -- Picked up Bit.Trip.Beat and Bit.Trip.Runner. I see lots of stuff in my wish list on sale. Can't wait to see tomorrow's deals.

Each one is around 3 hours long and I haven't liked them all that much. Repetitive environments and boring puzzles killed the experience for me.

What buttons do you have to press in Recettear at the main menu?! I can move up and down but not select anything :s

Just got Garrys Mod and Borderlands for under $10. feelsgood.jpg.

Also got another game for a certain friend on NeoGAF. The wonders of getting paid...

Now I'm totally not off to use the rest of my money in the Mann Co. Store...Totally not going to purchase anything like keys or stuff.

Anyone know any servers with decent download speeds? My local UK ones are getting hammered. I imagine they all are though. Best I can get so far is 100kb max.

when i go in to bit trip beat, theres only the transition mode available with 2 grayed out options below it.. whereas bit trip runner has worlds with stages (1-1). maybe i am just being stoopid?

I'm currently at work. :/

Will you still be doing this incredibly nice gesture later? :)

Probably not, sorry.

It's pretty hard to get a server going without people griefing it (has to be on a public server).

But anyway, thanks to those who helped get the achievement, I appreciate it.

Never got anyone banned for doing it in TF2. I'd only do it with games you own to be careful though.

They did issue a warning and gave people a week long item ban for those who were caught during the medic(?) release. Think they also issued a strong warning about further use in the future. I certainly wouldn't use it to get tickets. Not if you had a big library.

The description is definitely misleading. It's meant for the first part of the first song on Beat.

Capsized may fit the bill.

I feel sorry for those of you who looked up the solutions for the Toki Tori sunbeam puzzles. I just got that achievement and loved every minute of it. Got really stumped on a couple of them.

It's roughly 50 ball hits before the screen "wipes" and you transition to the next section.

So basically, hit the first 50 or so balls and you'll see the achievement flash in the corner.

They only took some peoples items away, I've used it since to get some achievements in Fallout and nothing has happened. I wouldn't use it to unlock every single one, but at most I'd imagine they would just void your entry into the competition.

Start transition. Play the first bit (It ends when the colorful big squares come at you)

I wouldn't say so. Witcher 2 is superior to Witcher 1 in just about every way, and Witcher 1 took a while to really get "good". Witcher 2 dumps you straight into it (in a good way).
Cool. Thanks. If nothing else it will be pretty to look at.

Faerie Solitaire is $1.25!

I got this as part of an Indie pack last winter and I really enjoyed the game. Taken at the correct pace, the game is a relaxing take on the old Solitaire model. You'll feel like you've earned back that $1.25 by the end of the first stage.
