I gameshared the PS3 version off a Plus subbed mate who got it for free, and even I felt ripped off when I played it. Thoroughly awful, horribly lightweight stuff. I assume that the PC version is better?

I would just say drop Still Life, in general.

I just got done playing this off of gog, and I paid about $3. It was maybe justified at that price. It's EXTREMELY linear. The few challenging puzzles they give you are so out of place due to their difficulty in contrast to the rest of the game.

The story itself is rather "meh," but they don't even give you a decent conclusion. You will likely have everything figured out by the end, but the actual second game is necessary for it.

I just looked it up to make sure I was right, because it was a rather forgettable game.
There are some good parts to it, though, so I only recommend it if you're really itching for a point and click.

also, question of my own: i may just be stupid, but there isn't a 1-1 in BIT.TRIP.BEAT is there? i can't seem to find it (lol) so is the achievement for that meant for BIT.TRIP.RUNNER?

I was originally just going to by Majesty 2 for $6.69 (http://store.steampowered.com/app/25980/), but that's when I saw the pack. $1.20 more for two more full games + a bunch of expansions... can't say no to that!

Edit: This pack is 84% off, meaning it's CHEAPER to buy this than the Elvan Legacy bundle alone... I wonder if the pricing is an error?

I was on the fence about this one, I bought a Majesty Pack at some point and was interested in Elven Legacy. I guess I'll wait for the last day to decide.

Is it possible that these games on sale today will be on sale tomorrow? MoH for instance; can I catch that sale tomorrow? Have to get $ in the bank and I am new to Steam.

Hmmmm never played the PS3 version but the PC version is good stuff. No Lag, dedicated servers, the gameplay is solid nothing special but it is satisfying and responsive and it gots lots of game modes and maps.

Gave up on The Witcher 2 and bought Lead and Golf, both Bit.Trip games, and Oblivion instead, and still have $18 left.

I can grab The Witcher 2 when it's ~$25 during the Christmas Sale. =P

If it's a daily deal, no. That's why there is a timer on it. It may come back in a couple days if Valve does what they have done in the past, and have a 'best-of' day with repeats of previous popular daily sales every 4-5 days within a sale. Since Medal of Honor is a pretty big 'name' still I think it would have a decent shot at being involved in that, more so than say Bit.Trip or Recettear.

It will be on sale until 10 am PST (Pacific Standard Time) tomorrow. There is a countdown clock on the main page.

In general I think that if Valve could figure out a way to do the "Will this play on my computer? If so, how well? Convey it to me very simply" user interaction, that would be amazing and one of the last frontiers to really making Steam a console-like experience in terms of accessibility.

Imagine going to a game's page and getting:
RED CARD - This game does not play on your current computer due to VIDEO MEMORY
YELLOW CARD - Your saved computer "home gaming rig" will be able to play this game on medium settings. Upgrading your VIDEO CARD would result in higher performance.
NOTE - Some users report difficulty with running the game under Windows 7
UPDATE - We've detected your ATI Radeon drivers are out of date. Updating drivers are associated with a 10-12 FPS improvement for this game for many users.

with simply, easily visually accessible icons, and automatic detection of hardware, drivers, and bottlenecks for the particular game.

Even if it was an opt-in feature which required companies to submit their specs or some diagnostic information, or even if it relied on user feedback aggregation, I think it would be amazing.

Yup. I bought Tropico 3 + Absolute Power for $5, and put 40+ hours into it. I beat every single mission in the base game + the expansion. It's the first game to suck me in so deeply in several years. LOVED IT.

4 looks nice, but it also looks like a glorified expansion. Some new buildings, natural disasters, etc. A lot of recycled art. So we'll see.

From the main menu click the sun icon in the lower left hand corner. Get 5 starts on the level that loads up, shouldn't take more than a half dozen tries or so if you're familiar with the mechanics of the game.

What's up with CS Source? I bought it for £3.75 earlier, now it's £9.37?

EDIT: It also included GM for free, now that's extra.

Am I going to be charged the difference now?

Oh I am an idiot. I see the little countdown now. Okay thanks. I am surprised MoH being an EA game wasn't dished off for that origin thing ma bob.

Wow. Stronghold Collection is on sale! I think that's a first to my recollection. It's a game I have fond memories of and really want to play again. I think I'm buying it. Little chance of that being a daily sale.
