I'm wondering if it's worth it. I mean, free is free, but still. I got too much crap to play already.

The trilogy pack is $11.49 at 50% off, always a chance it will go cheaper possibly. I thought about using my tickets on it but decided to wait and see.

. Also, I just don't have the patience with a lot of adventure games if your movement is slow as hell and you constantly have to backtrack.

So yea, I openly admit, I play adventure games with a guide nearby. I don't necessarily look at it for every little thing, but if I get stuck for an extended period of time, I'll check it out. And more often than not, the solution would've been something I never would think of.

I need to start using the UHS hint site in the future though.

There's nothing wrong with using a guide! I never understood why people think that it's some kind of a crime when someone uses a guide to help themselves out. I try to use one as little as possible, but if I can't progress in a game and don't feel that I'll be able to solve a puzzle, then I'll look up the solution. This may ruin the experience for some, but personally I could not care less. It takes absolutely nothing away from the game for me.

Bit.Trip.Beat has what you want. Unless you aren't trying for the Summer achievement. :)

Probably never would have heard of Recettear if not for the sale. Enjoyed the demo, so I'll be picking this one up. Unexpected surprise.

I think you have to get a perfect on world 1-1 AND complete the entire world. If it's hard (which it most definitely is), just do it on easy.

EDIT: Whoops, I thought you were talking about Beat. My bad.

Steam is cracking at the seams, won't let my purchase go through.

I agree. They may think it's easy but there were a couple of puzzles in BTTF that had me going WTF do I do? For the most part it's not that hard though I'll admit. I however really think with BTTF it was designed so that those of us who aren't big Adventure gamers like that could enjoy it. Telltale I think was very smart in realizing that there would be people who don't play those types of games or even any at all who would check it out simply because it was BTTF. Thanks to this they've made some new fans and probably ensured some sales if future seasons are made.

You know they're coming. Why not save a little the weeks/months prior?

Damn. I just noticed a huge amount of the indie games I had on my list are on sale. Solar 2, Vertex Dispenser, Jamestown, Inside a Star Filled Sky, Hamilton's Great Adventure, BEEP, HOARD... Time to play the wait until the final day game. I wonder if they'll have any indie packs in the daily sales like they usually do.

Sometimes you don't get achievements if the community is down, the summer sale achievement is for Bit.Trip.Beat though.

nono, im talking about this achievement:

idWUok.PNG

here:

ibBkxg.PNG

those multi-colored exclamation marks mean that i did just that.

Im wondering because i dont know how to make it work now, i cant get a do-over unless i delete my save file or something

I know, i already got it early today. This is just a regular question and this is the only open Steam thread

Not really interested in any of the newer titles but I'm considering Neverwinter Nights2: Platinum and Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines. I think I'll wait in case they're discounted even more further down in the sale.

So if I remember right don't they have a Christmas season sale too? If so I need to start saving now. And start saving for next years summer sale for sure.

Oblivion GOTY any good? Thinking about picking it up but not sure on the PC port.

From what I've played of the PC version it seemed completely fine to me and ran well on reasonably old hardware. You get a lot of gaming for the $6.80 or whatever it costs.

Do. It. Now.

The mods alone, make it worth the purchase. The mods add longevity and amazing updated graphics.

not sure if serious..

every Elder Scrolls game is about a million times better on PC, specially because of the mod community

If you've got the hardware, the PC version is great, if you take the time to implement the community-made mods and fixes it's an infinitely better experience than its console counter parts.

LovingSteam's dog died? :( wow that's terrible man, my condolences.

As for the game well im a big fan of adventure games and im ashamed to say i only tried the longest journey games once and not on my own PC, i really liked it but due to shitty retail at my country i could never get myself a copy. Would really love to own them and give them a chance and as i think i made clear a couple of posts ago im pretty much broke! lol :) im sure i'd enjoy them

If you get it, which you should, you should grab the Deluxe edition for $1.70 more. It has all the dlc.

I bought it today. It's actually my first Bethesda game and I'm REALLY enjoying it. I've already shot Fallout 3, New Vegas and Morrowind (sp?) to the top of my wishlist because of how much fun it is!

I don't want hard. I don't want to experience anything like that ever again. An hour of my life spent trying to get a third ticket for a pair of TF2 sunglasses, that's just plain insane. Insane.
Especially since the sunglasses are not available yet and there will probably be several tickets in the coming days for things like "write a game review", "Add a game to your wishlist", "add a friend", etc.

I did the AAAaaa one for the xmas thing last year . . . but that is enough for me. The potato was was very hard. This one is too hard too. I'm just not enjoying it so it isn't worth the effort.

Looks like the biggest winners on GAF for 6/30/11 are

Recettear
and
Oblivion: GOTY.

Keep it up guys! Empty those wallets!

I'll have stats for tomorrow's sales too.

I remember when I lost my dog Rocky. I swore off pets after that. Wasn't going to go through that again. Condolences to LovingSteam...

I know this has been asked before but I don't recall the answer. I'm a U.S. citizen living and working in South Korea. I have a vpn service I use to connect to U.S. only online services like Netflix and (to buy things) Steam. But is this violating some sort of User Agreement?

And just picked up Recettear, been wanting it for awhile.

Welcome to being broke, for the rest of your life. It's like crack.

ANybody having problem downloading? I'm pretty sure the servers are getting hammered, but I'd like to make sure. Borderlands is not downloading at all for me. Stuck at 2%, speed not updating.

Trying to think of anything I'd want...

hmm Terraria is the only thing I can think of...

I'd like Magic the Gathering DOTPW 2012 to go on sale, but I doubt it would since it just released like 2 weeks ago... :(

His dog died? Fuck man, that's a horrible, horrible thing.

My dog is 11 years old and I can't even IMAGINE what will happen when he goes.

LovingSteam, my best thoughts go to you.

However, I'd like to be into that Longest Journey draw.

I'd be interested in the Longest Journey+Dreamfall

I was planning on buying the pack earlier today, but I don't have too much cash on me right now =/
