I am going to be away from my PC in a weeks time until the start of September, planning to upgrade it or do a new build when I get back, question is - should I buy The Witcher 2 now while it's 33% off and play the start for a few days or wait until September and buy it after the new build? Help Gaf!

If you have enough willpower, you could wait until the Winter sale...

I am 95% positive I am already going to buy it, but someone sell me on Bloodlines. I know it seems silly, but I just want to be absolutely sure because I am slightly overbudget already.

It's agreat cRPG about vampires with lots of story and great atmosphere.

Loom, The Dig, Eschalon book I, Vampire and Everyday Logic will be my final purchases.
74 tickets (missing HF and Altitude).

I've blown waaay too much in this Sale (my first) but I have 10 years of gaming on my Steam account right now.

Get the LucasArts Adventure pack! It's got Loom and The Dig along with both Indiana Jones games for the price of 2 of those games, you'd basically get the Indiana Jones games for free in your case.

Poker Night I understand, but Defense Grid? At that price? Dunno what your problem with it is but give it another shot, damn.

^^^^^^

I don't even like TD games and think it's great.

i keep thinking if i'll get JC2 but really have no interest playing it on my PC.

Do you usually play on consoles? how good is your rig? I usually play on my notebook so a game like JC2 is better suited for my console.

Well, to everyone posting over $100 at least you probably won't do that much the next sale. You probably already have most of the games you want now.

My first $100+ sale was the first one and haven't gone over $40 in each sale since.

That's one of the few games I regret purchasing as well. Don't know why but I just didn't find it fun and I usually like TD games.

Turns out I don't like Tower Defense games at all. I tried it because as you said if I like it this is one of the best... At least I got a ticket out of it so I can get my TF2 sun glasses. Also might get my wishlist.

Picked up:

Heroes V Pack
Fallout 3: New Vegas
Batman: Arkham Asylum
The Last Remnant
Empire/Napoleon: Total War
Just Cause 2
Zen Bound 2
Fallout: New Vegas DLC

Total about $60. I think I made out pretty damn good this sale.

:( I want to read the last newsletter the mascots wroted for the steam camp and have the new image in high resolution.

Are they late, or are they not going to put it for the last day in the steam camp page?

€3,75 Recettear
€4,99 Darksiders
€2,24 Defense Grid
€2,49 Deus Ex
€22,48 Guild Wars Trilogy + Eye of the North
€7,49 The Last Remnant
€2,49 Terraria
€15,25 US gifted: Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines + Neverwinter Nights 2: Platinum
€7,49 Civilization V from Gamersgate

Took a hit with Guild Wars. I've been enjoying it though, so no regrets. I'll probably pick up The Longest Journey + Dreamfall before the sale ends. A bit over my planned 50-60 euro budget, but it was all worth it for these great prices.

Anyone have a good downloading server location? My current one is sputtering into 0kbps

Houston server has been giving me 2.5MB/s on Dawn of War II since I started it less than a hour ago. 91% complete :p

Then again I'm in Htown. Wouldn't hurt to try though.

To anyone wondering about the polynomial, it's one of the 4 games (out of 50+) I really regret buying in this sale along Doc Clock, Foreign Legion and Metal Drift. Avoid.

That's what I ended up doing. I avoided the Indy games on purpose at first (because I think I'll never replay them) but realized they were basically free.

Loom is one of my favorite games ever but I wish Steam got the other Lucasarts p&c games.

I did think about that.. but looks like I will grab it in a few minutes since I have wanted to play it for a while :)

Probably going to pick up Sanctum as my final one. Gutted about missing Bit Trip Runner daily though.

Think I'm going to pickup Borderlands GOTY and then grab a 4-pack of Magicka to give to friends. I'm sure we'd have a blast playing co-op and killing each other.

Fuck my internet company, the most I can get is 500kb (but it usually downloads at 250ks with even lows of 0kbs) in the server im using now (other servers give me much less, even using my home) and I have supposedly 10mb.
Fuck that shit, Jazztel.
