Steam winter sale begins December 18 according to PayPal

How is Rebirth now? I saw all the launch reviews and have stayed away from it.

I'm not sure what you mean? It was amazing from the get go. If you're talking about things like the save bugs, they're patched.

Prepare yourselves.
THE WINTER SEAL COMES!

and it will show

Same here!

I actually own it, but never fired it up, I think another game caught my attention and the bad reviews made me hold off.

I also own Elite, but I'm waiting for it to officially come out, and then for after xmas when I get my HOTAS + trackIR setup going ;)

So if it's actually good, I'd like ot know, might give it a go durnig the holidays.

Rebirth got bad reviews? I thought it got positive reviews everywhere.

This is my first time experiencing the winter sale as I just built my first PC. How fucked in my wallet?

WAIT FOR THE DAILY DEALS.

My brother in law just built a PC and bought a bunch of stuff on day 1 of the last sale. He probably would have kept going but I explained to him that there was a much bigger sale on the horizon where he could get everything much cheaper.

Edit: looking for lords of the fallen, wolfenstein, and the long dark. Dunno if the latter will get a sale since I think it's still early access.

Was hoping for a Dark Souls 2 season pass this sale, but well... fuck. I don't think there's any games that came out this year that I want that I don't have, but we'll see.

Don't buy Dark Souls 2 season pass, there is a new version of Dark Souls 2 coming out early next year with better graphics and all the DLC included.

I made it through the summer sale fairly unscathed
mainly because I had bought almost all the games I've ever wanted in the 2013 sales
, let's see what happens this time around.

Many people come to the conclusion that the sales 'suck,' but have they noticed they have 1000+ games on their account? When you own everything you possibly want, the sales period isn't going to look as good compared to someone who is new to Steam.

Crossing my fingers for a Never Alone sale. I'd love to get it but can't justify $15 for a 3-4 hour game. How often do 1-2 month old games go on sale?

GZ will be on sale I guess, like Rising.

This would be awesome, but I don't know if I can see GZ being on sale as a 'new product', what with the general decrease in 'sale levels' that Steam has been undertaking for the last few years,

Hope they're better than the last sales which mainly sucked.

I thought they were great. The November sale was fantastic.

Whateves.

You spend $60 on a console game lately?

That $60 will get you at least 12 great games, EASY, if you follow the rules of the STEAM sale.

Your wallet isn't fucked.

Dat backlog though. Look out.

Looking for VC and Lords of the Fallen. Maybe Shadow of Mordor too. Of course I'll be getting Metal Gear on the 18th as well.

I feel like this thread title should have SHOCKING NEWS in it. Steam sale always starts the Thursday before Christmas iirc.

I haven't been excited for or really bought anything on a steam sale in a while. When things like companies flat out giving away games for free (ex DA: Origins, Titanfall, L4D2) and Humble bundles where I can get 2 or 3 big games for $1 exist I see no reason to pay $5-$10 dollars on a PC game.
