Ground Zeroes and a Steam Sale on my birthday?

Aw yiss.

I can say the same ^_^

Glad to find a gaffer with the same birthdate as me, Brad Pitt, Steven Spielberg, etc... ;)

However, I did refrain from buying anything from the last sale since my backlog of (PS4) games is full.

I must keep telling myself that I already have way too many games to play and finish.

Shadow of Mordor, come at me, bro! You too, The Evil Within

Has anyone ever discussed the possibility of Steam Sales having diminishing returns? Basically everyone buys most of the games they ever wanted to buy, and then the sales die because all that's left are boatloads of games no one would ever play, let alone spend money.

Everyday here's at least one decent if nto awesome game coming out on Steam.

It's not like consoles where droughts are happening every other month.

For an individual the pool of games they might be interested might shrink, but there's always something to look forward to.

Oh, it will. See how MGS Rising preorder got introduced last winter sale and discounted at 33%off. The same thing will happen now. There's no chance in hell that it doesn't have a discount because they would lose all the exposure they could potentially have. They would get buried by everything else on sale.
I anticipate that the base price for MGS Rising will be really inflated compared to the going rate for the console release.

I think a couple of things have changed it, indie bundles, more competition for Steam keys, the whole Russian/Nuuvem thing. There are just way more ways to acquire Steam games than there were 3-4 years ago. I definitely feel it but there are still a steady release of games coming out. It's just Steam sales aren't as competitive.

I hope for a return of the ~$13 Kerbal Space Program. I know I shoulda picked it up long ago, but I was afraid for my wallet.

It's gonna be great. Stay safe GAF

Well I'm getting a new GPU for xmas so I'm sure I'll pick a couple things up. I really haven't bought much from the past sales though. The first one when I built my PC will always be the greatest.

You already own everything on steam tho

You missed November's sales, where he posted updated dailies where he didn't have some of the things on sale. I'm going to say he still didn't buy those.

Great timing, the GOG sales will be over, I've bought all X-mas gifts already, and I will have gotten paid. Now, I can buy the games that aren't available on GOG. Thanks to that queue thing Steam added I have a whole bunch of games on my wishlist.

My plan was to ignore the Dailies and focus on Early Access games with incentives/that are set to significantly increase in price, as well as software liable to be replaced (I'm looking at you, MAGIX), but as it turns out most of the Early Access games I'm in particular need of are recent releases (meaning they'll be in EA for a while) and only one piece of MAGIX's software was decently discounted, so after a couple of days I started snapping up the Dailies (just not soon enough to have this reflected in the images I used in the OP).
