Not sure if already known, but It seems as if you have to clear survival mode for each individual costume on a character to get the colour unlocks. Cleared it using Chun Li with the pre-order costume and it unlocked the colours for that costume, but not the basic. If this is how it is meant to be, people might be spending a loooonnngg time in survival unlocking colours.

Are you serious?

That's the stupidest thing ever.

That's totally weird! The Steam version downloaded only 6.4GB. I will be bummed if it has to download 16GB more when it unlocks. :(
On PSN, the initial download was around 7GB, and then it downloaded additional "application data" to bump this number to ~12GB total.
The uncompressed installed files takes up 23Gb.

In game message.
Oh, thanks!
Will make sure to only do training during the hour before the final reset, then. :)

Wow...this OT! One of the best I have ever seen on GAF. Amazing job.

I'm on the fence with that fight pad. It looks ugly as shit, but maybe it'll feel right in my hands.

If I get the Fighting Commander 4 controller, will I need to have a Dual Shock 4 connected?

No, but it's annoying that the PS button on it won't turn on the PS4.

That being said, it's easily the best pad for PS4 right now.

Edit: I came in here to complain about amazon yanking my dick with my P.O.

Either ship it or don't

WTF for real .
That is so stupid , what were they thinking .

Same, it already took me 4 hours to download the 6.4GB, so another 16GB... No way.

Anyway, awesome news that the release time has been moved up!

I'm starting to contemplate switching my pre-order to digital so I can play immediately. But at the same time, I actually like owning physical copies of my games.

Those buttons on the back are probably pretty nice for a six button game, but directional inputs probably suck on it.

Using the steam controller trackpad actually isn't too bad because the haptics kind of give it a super sensitive microswitch feel. I honestly had more trouble with the button placement.

After watching that 2nd tutorial video about the meters, my head is spinning... this game sounds overly complicated. Yet I must ask myself if it is really any more complicated than most other modern fighters out there... getting into the deep mechanics of a fighting game was never interesting to me... I just enjoy playing them for a while.

i have a few questions here, hopefully you guys can helps me out.

1) what is the ds4 like for this game

2) sticks are expensive. I can get an old ps3 TE for about £70 should off ebay. Why would i buy one of the newer sticks?

3) not that this is important to me but when is the review embargo up?

When does gamestop typically send out codes for digital download? I preordered digital there for sexy Ryu and hoped to pre-load but I don't have my code. Knowing gamestop i won't get it until mid afternoon tomorrow.

Anyone got their chun li preorder costume from GMG yet?

There is only one code. You'll get it in your account automatically.

On Steam, you will automatically receive the Chun-Li costume DLC on your account the moment you complete the transaction.

If you bought the pre-purchase version through other official retail stores, you should receive a single Steam key. That single key contains license to the base game and the Chun-Li costume.

In comparison to other fighters these days it really isn't that complicated it's more on the light side if anything with regards to learning the basic mechanics.

1. Not sure, sorry
2. I got a nice Razor Atrox for $100 (originally $200) off of Craigslist. Works great. No need to buy new.
3. 40 minutes

maybe this has already been covered, but does anyone know what i'm missing out on by having a stick without a touchpad? (the newer sticks have them right?)
i padhacked my ps3 TE stick, cuz i didn't wanna buy a new ps4 stick

dont have a ton of time to read through the past pages, but i already bought the game on psn and have the beta installed, im guessing I need to re-download for the pre-load right?

SFV is actually pretty streamlined in terms of mechanics, especially when compared to Arcsys fighters like GGXrd and BlazBlue. Jeez those games have a mechanic for every situation.

I will hold on physical till a "super" edition is anounced. This game will evolve so much with dlc and updates that the disk on sale tomorrow will become obsolete in a year...
