Street Fighter V |OTVIII| New Delayed Generation - Controversial Inputs

They said "you'll never have to buy the game again."

Stupid idiots will stupid idiot. Being scared of them is a bad idea.

But they did say that. A lot. https://media.eventhubs.com/images/2015/07/18_sf5panel18.jpg
One disc was all you needed.
That was big selling point in that all gameplay related content would be free.

Oh, then I've become my worst enemy, I could've sworn they also said there wouldn't be any Super or Ultra versions. Just fucking release SSFV! It's not like the backlash isn't there already lol.

SFV ain't gonna get a huge boost of new players with more content alone. It will only get them with more content and a rock bottom price. They can make up the difference with cosmetic DLC, but Capcom needs to practically give the game away now to get more players in.

Considering that retailers quickly dropped the game's price and in some cases were giving it away (I got a free copy when I bought a Fight Stick off of Newegg) I absolutely 100% agree with you. I'd say a SSFIV re-release with all characters (base+S1+S2) would have to be $40 max.

They fucked up by saying there wouldn't be new iterations like Super or Ultra, what they should've said was that you'd be totally fine with your original copy of SFV to be able to play the latest version of the game. So yeah, once they release SSFV (if it happens) the internet and haters will have a field day, even if it's not the same scenario as SSF4 and USF4.

I think they said there won't be any paid update, doesn't mean they can't expand on the game via another disc release with a new title. Internet haters will be the Internet haters at the end of the day - nobody actually takes them seriously.

Capcom will probably just have to settle for the esports angle with SFV rather than try to win back casuals. They are clearly incapable of doing the latter for a variety of reasons, many of which are self-inflicted.

GGs Ucchedavāda. Next time you play against Ed remember that the st.hp is -2 oB so just press any button or throw after. No need to just block and take the pressure after that move.

Ethernet and PS4. Means fuck all because since the new servers I've had shit matches like crazy. I'm fucking done...time to take a week break. I just can't stand the quality of this shit and how people excuse it.

It doesn't matter if you have Ping that is faster than light. If you're opponent has slow internet, you will be affected by it

Apparently this guy has Uverse. Which is weird cause before upgrading to Specturm, I also had Uverse and when watching a match from my opponent's perspective, it wasn't near as bad as his.

I mean, most casuals leave fighting games after a couple months (at best) so I don't think this will change thier attitude much. If this new update does happen (a big IF) then I would assume it would help in terms general reception and sales of the game.

What's weirder is blaming the "servers" for your lag, when all they do is collect data and provide the matchmaking, servers can't detect if someone is on wi-fi.

Your actual connection is straight up peer 2 peer unless your connection with the other person is so bad that you'll actually get routed through a server.
But you can tell when this happens if the connection icon on the VS screen shows 3 dots instead of 2.

When it comes to peer 2 peer, you could have CERN's 186gbps connection and still lag like crazy because the other person has an unstable, or badly routed, connection.

So it seems Tekken is having all sorts of connectivity issues at launch, plus complaints about the quality of single-player options?

Out of all the hours I played, I've never seen that Icon.

Yeah on PS4, PC version is solid. And Treasure Battle is actually fun and rewarding unlike Survival.

And the Delay inputs on PS4 7.2 frames, TTT2 on PS3 had 5.7 delay, SF4 on 360 had close to 5 frames, SFV launched with 8frames, we have better technology yet they yet things are not improving..

Tekken's always had more delay, but it's definitely looking like the PS4 delay is likely to be on Sony.

The arcade version of Tekken 7 has as much delay as the PS4 version. The arcade hardware is based on PC parts. V-sync is probably the issue in both. Xbox consoles allow screen tearing so the input delay tends to be shorter.

Tekken and SC delay(like SFV) is there to make a buffer for the netcode, Harada pretty much said so since SC5/TTT2 days, it's the same in Smash 4 too, it's the curse of Japanese devs refusing to pay for superior tech.

People losing their shit over Tekken 7 in a fairly transparent attempt to "punish" capcom are really fucking weird.

Bandwagoners will jump ship in a month and will go back to their favorite past-time: complaining loudly that SFV isn't as good as other fighting games while continuing to only play SFV.

Guess i can only connect to people playing akuma tonight. 3 so far. So bored of fighting akuma.

Edit

Ohhh a ken... Oh his is shit yolo ken and lags. 20 secs in disconnects.

Wtf is going on.

I know we have talked about this already but. Why in the fuck doesn't Eds Psycho Upper connect after max range cr.mk? Makes no sense.

Just remove jump from the game at that point.

Would make the game lot more interesting tbh

Increase birdies walk speed and dash .

Make vtrigger walkspeed normal walkspeed and make the vtrigger walkspeed even faster.

I wish everyone had less AA's as good as birdie, birdie included.

As if jumping wasn't good enough already.

Ok i got a match against a chun. However i take it people have no idea how to play chun anymore. The few times i do it consists of them walking backwards. Sometimes jumping randomly or shooting the odd fireball. Then when there v trigger is up the try and poke you.

It hasn't worked yet as one wrong move and they get steam rolled. Then they often just run after first loss (like just then and this is casual match).

I remember chuns used to play aggressive.

Play aggressive with what?! St.HP is -5 and all her poke range attacks are negative, if you get in you get one shimmy or instant air leg attempt and your offense end if blocked! She might have been fine if her keep away game wasn't nerffed for no reason what so ever.

BBCPE 42.9ms

Nitro Blasters 55.1ms

GGXRD Revelator 58.2ms

USF4 59.1ms

Injustice 65.6ms *note command history occurs 1F before animation starts

SkullGirls 2nd Encore 73ms

Garou 74.6ms

Last Blade 2 74.6ms

Dead or Alive 5 LR 75.3ms

Mortal Kombat X 75.5ms *note command history occurs 1F after animation starts

KOFXIV ver 2.00 76.5ms

SFV 88.6ms

UMvC3 89.1ms

Injustice 2 92.4ms command history appears one frame earlier

Tekken 7 120.1ms *command history appears one frame faster
Tested at 720p. 119.9ms

https://www.eventhubs.com/news/2017...ation-4-pro-and-63-frames-input-lag-xbox-one/

Everybody is talking about his findings of Tekken 7's 7.2 frames of lag, but he also finds that SFV on PS4 only has 5.3 frames of lag. USFIV on Xbox 360 had 5.1 frames of lag, right? What the hell is going on?

Especially when they play so differently. SF always changes things up in every iteration whereas Tekken is always the same shit with same old animations but with a few more bells and whistles attached.

Tekken is p good. You should try it.

Pretty much. I like this guy but this just feels wrong. Hell I blocked Akumas CA and tried to punish it with cr.mk xx psycho upper xx ca only to eat a srk in the middle of cr.mk and psycho upper.

Definitely a character for specialists only.

Tekken 7 is pretty fun, but man that game does a worse job at teaching you how to play than SFV does lol. Haven't played a Tekken game in years and I'm completely clueless.

It's super weird bc Tekken Tag 2 had a tutorial, and trials and shit. But this game has nothing?

People are going to get blown up and not even know what high mid and low is.

Watched some Momochis Ed clips. Is this character just pure RTSD?

How is that even possible? It doesn't have survival?

Has anyone heard about a "Super Street Fighter V" leak that's somewhere online? A friend mentioned it, but I have no idea what his sources were, but I can't find anything on it at all. Something something more characters from 3, free downloadable update, revised gameplay, or something.

Figured I'd stop in here and see if there was any trace of that rumor, so I figured I'd stop in here and ask. (I'm thinking it's some kind of poor source he got it from, that just made it up... it is almost E3, after all).
