Subtle gamer tattoos

wow. the number of people with ellie's tattoo

And that's just a small number of the people that have got the full sized tattoos in the same placement as Ellie's. There are also people getting mini versions of it on other parts of their body

Getting a tattoo of a game that isn't released yet seems like a not-good idea. As much as one might have liked the TLOU, or felt an affinity for Ellie, you don't know how the character has changed, will develop or how you'll feel about her.

That's apart from things like whether the company behaves in a way that's fair, or if there are problematic bugs or microtransactions. Could any of those change how you feel about the tattoo?

Did anyone get an Andromeda tattoo before launch?

Eh, it's ambiguous enough that I don't think it matters. They could just like its design outside of the game or context.

This is the closest thing I've seen to people getting a ton of 'launch' tattoos, but those are all staff members for The Old Republic so eh.

Still Bioware.

Why....whyyy

Looks like a bad tattoo artist that did it too the whole thing is crazy swollen.

That's why people should go to a skilled artist those will be honest with people, a artist that just wants money will put anything on a body.

The best worst one is black charmander:

Yes it's real no kidding.

Jesus fucking Christ! WTF! Why would you do that to yourself???
Some people just hate themselves too much.

I was actually thinking about getting an N7 one on the chest, but I want to get other not gaming related tattoos first.

It's a body mod, some people have horns and shit like that. I find it disgusting.

I NEEDED THAT AUGH I AM LITERALLY CRYING

Not gaming related but I had a classmate in Calc who had the derivative function on one arm and integral function on the other. Reminded me of full metal alchemist and looked amazing.

Please, please, do not get a corporate logo branded onto your body. Please. I implore you.

And if you do you better be getting a serious check for it.

I googled this awhile ago, seems like the kind I would get. Shadow of the Colossus is pretty subtle. I want something F-Zero related also....not sure what to get. Edit: This one of Mr Saturn seems pretty awesome too.

I plan on getting this tattooed on my upperback, I feel like it's pretty subtle for the most part.

th

That's awesome. Dark souls was and is a massive part of my hobbies, definitely my favourite game. I'd like to get something subtle from DS1 one day.

don't get video game tattoos

don't get movie tattoos

don't get comic book tattoos

Why not? I see people with sports, music or brand tattoos all the time, so I don't see the problem if it's tasteful and well done?

Dark Souls 1 changed how I approach gaming forever.

Totally agree haha. That design is subtle and tasteful though, only ds players would get it, if that.

Alright it's cringe because it's a really massive super saiyan Sonic tattoo, but damn that's a well-done tattoo. Looks like concept art.

Super sonic has nothing to do with DBZ lol

also don't get those

You must be fun at parties

Life's too short to be ashamed of everything.

Get yer game tattoos if you want, no matter how lame and lurid. Just make sure the tattoo artist can draw faces worth a shit. Or can just draw in general.

Well, I don't think there's really any reason to worry about TLoU:PII quality. With that said, a big appeal of Ellie's tattoo is that it doesn't look like something from a video game. If someone saw it they wouldn't connect that to a game unless they've already seen it on Ellie's arm. It just looks like cool artwork.

Get whatever tattoo you want, but make sure you've got the money to go to the right artists. Good tattoos are going to be expensive, especially if they're elaborate. But they're also something you shouldn't hesitate to pay for if you want a good tattoo. And that's something really important to keep in mind if you're getting tattoos with a face. That goes for any face really. You could end up with a tattoo like this

Although a good artists stepped in and fixed it for him for free
