Bought my ticket.

Thursday night at 10:00 PM in 4D. 30 bucks.

Suicide Squad is the second most excited for a movie that I've ever been. LET'S GO! WORST. HEROES. EVER.

Wanna bet $10 that Terrio didn't write Doomsday as a big gray blob? The Martha moment was also a bit misdirected, in fact, remember when the first synopsis leaked? it sounded GREAT, it works on paper very much. I think in the end it worked fine in the UC however, but hey, it was Snyder's idea to include the Knightmare even AFTER Terrio removed it, so yeah, Terrio was not the problem imo.
 
I really don't know that I'd say that BvS HAD a script problem, tbh. You could pin the length on that, but considering that a lot of that is either studio mandated (cameos) or brought over from previous scripts (Knightmare), I have trouble calling out Terrio as part of the problem. By and large I thought it was excellently written, even if clearly not to everybody's taste.

Marketing term for a 3D movie with environmental interaction with the viewer. Have you ever been to Disney World? They have a couple of 4D attractions and they're amazing

I didn't even know they did 4D screenings in theaters and I'm glad that out of every film in existence, my first experience with it will be Suicide Squad.

I... wait, what do you mean by "environmental interaction?" Is it just like seat rumble or are we talking Smell-o-vision here?

Terrio has nothing to do with Doomsday's design. He could have looked like a dragon with a donkey face and it wouldn't have changed the scene. And we have no confirmation that first leak was Terrio. That could have been Goyer's version and Terrio made the changes. It being more "comic book-y" almost soldifies it. And the Knightmare scenario had no plot relevance so that's not for or against Terrio.

I would say that it's a point in his favor. Demonstrable pacing and thematic problem with the movie brought in from a previous script means that his script was, almost by default, better than what we got.

I meant the first real leak, two days before release. The Knightmare broke the pacing AND it added nothing, so yeah, Terrio was right for not wanting it in. In fact, it's unlikely the Knightmare future is even in the cards for Justice League.

Terrio's script was probably like "And then from the remains of General Zod, a Kryptonian deformity arises", probably mirroring how Superman's act of killing was coming back to bite him, he probably imagined Doomsday resembling Zod. We know for a fact the script also included Lex saying Doomsday obeyed only him, which was MIA in the final movie making its creation kind of weird.

It was from the SHH forums, it was long ago, I don't remember. As I said, I'm not talking about the reddit one, but the first real one 2 days before release.

Unless I read it wrong Ahasverus is saying that leak was Terrio's version and then Snyder "misinterpreted" and we got the released version. Which makes no sense.

Edit: I never read any "real leak". The only leak I saw 2 days before release was about the released version.

Edit 2: We don't know if the "Obeys only me" was actually part of the script. Eisenberg mentioned he was free to adlib some of his lines. It's possible that was just Eisenberg padding his little rant.

Really depends on the film. From what I remember the ones I went to in Disney World had animatronics, smell-o-vision, rain effects, fog effects, and seat rumble.

It's really the coolest stuff ever and every time I go to Disney World I make sure to see the 4D stuff. Even after about half a dozen times, they're STILL not old.

Not sure what to expect for Suicide Squad since I've never seen the movie and I've never seen a theater try to pull it off, but hey! Second most excited movie ever! I'm willing to give it a shot :D

That sounds even more horrible than 3D. And I fucking hate that, especially the glasses.

We won't be getting the Terrio script (well, not as he wanted it) in JL either. Iirc they are rewriting things all the time and improvise a lot. Poor Ahasverus.

That would mean WB shouldn't be blame for anything and it's all Synder fault. I don't buy these rumors.

They try to do play catch and screwed up. They just gotta fix their mistakes with the next few movies.

You're far misinterpreting. I mean the first real plot link that was written by someone who saw the movie. The reaction was overwhelmingly positive here and in other parts of the net, but when we got the actual filmed story, even if it was exactly the same, yeah, it felt very off to say the least. I'm not saying Snyder totally botchered the script, he didn't, but there were important parts where it felt like it sounded better on paper, and they probably did.

A synopsis is not the same thing as reading a full script :lol

Just because it sounds good on paper doesn't mean it will be good in application. And you know, I liked BvS, but I think you're grasping here.

I honestly don't like/dislike 3D movies because I honestly can't see the difference between 3D and 2D movies. They look identical to me.

The way I see it, I'm paying a premium to wear weird glasses over my own at the boost of significantly more convenient viewing times. The viewing experience is identical.

But like I said, I'm willing to pay extra to see this one movie in a viewing format that I've adored before because I'm THAT excited for this movie. Besides, I never got to see my most anticipated movie (Silent Hill: Revelation) in theaters, and I do not want to make that error again, so I'm going all in on the viewing experience.

fun fact I got my first tattoo yesterday and it's the Halo of the Sun omg
and I ADORED the first film, warts and all. Revelation came out at the perfect moment basically. My Silent Hill excitement was at an all time high, my love for horror as a genre was at its peak, my social life was at its best, etc etc.

There is no film that I think can ever come out that will match how excited I was to see Silent Hill Revelation, even Suicide Squad which is pretty much "Hot Topic: The Movie but with your favorite villains (which are cooler than heroes) from DC (which is cooler than Marvel)" which is the greatest pitch I've ever seen in a movie EVER

I'm a declared Silent Hill nut too (You don't know how many hours in my life I've lost in that wiki) and the first film is great and all, but man, I'm so sorry for you having been hyped for SH2R3D :(

It seems both you and I are in the same L train. Congrats on your tattoo!
 
The whole point of the Knightmare in BvS was to give Bruce a reason to get the Justice League together. That dream sequence is basically foreshadowing Darkseid and is the threat Bruce is worried about and why he needs help from the other metahumans. It might have been a bad scene but either way it was still needed to be there at some point. The only thing I didn't like was the whole Flash part of it.

Funny you say it is your 2nd most excited ever, for me this is the most excited I have ever been for a movie.every trailer has been amazing.
