The first episode opens with a guy who hates life wanting to escape into a video game. He ends that episode by deciding to go full loner, because he thinks other people are a burden.
Then in the second episode, be pulls the Lelouch/Dr. Manhattan/Batman gambit and becomes the hero that they deserve, just not the one they need right now.
Then in the third episode,

this is all justified by a convenient speech from a dead girl that tells him it's perfectly fine to do what he's been doing because it somehow gave her hope.

It just feels like as if someone decided to make a harem anime out of Katawa Shoujo but decided to skip the entire premise of the girls with disabilities and focus on accidental boob grabs and crotch falls (and whatever else happens in your standard harem anime) instead.

I think you're overblowing his character flaws. He's antisocial yes but nowhere near what you're painting him as. He's trying to connect with people but keeps on failing, partly due to the stupidity of the people around him and partly due to the inability to open his mouth at crucial periods. In the third episode,

He definitely should have spoken up but he is relatively shy and is pretty antisocial. The other guild members were the idiots as anyone with an IQ above 100 or even played MMOs or RPGs before should have known that was a trap. Besides that has less to do with inherent personality flaws and more to do with intellect. So you wouldn't mind if he was Batman as long as he was smart?

God this show is so good, I absolutely love it. It has the atmosphere of Kimi ni Todoke replacing the bratty obnoxious high school kids with a more complex mature cast of characters, yet its one that maintains enough lightheartedness to not get completely bogged down in its dorama.

The revelations in this episode were pretty interesting. I don't mind the

telekinesis shit because hey this is a show with a GHOST as one of the main characters, I just hope it doesn't go too far down that road. The ending to this episode was pretty crazy too.

Milky Holmes as guys is fine too.

Easily one of the best episodes yet. This episode had it all. Sea cucumbers out the wazoo, nipple whipping action, a musical act about collecting sea cucumbers, the transformation of flat chest to big boobs, comedy everywhere and everything was decently paced as well.

Good job show.

#2, #3, and #5 are all largely mistakes of the adaptation. #5 is hilarious bad because it means the animation team might not give a shit. =P
