So I am half way through watching Madoka Magica on Crackle. Is Madoka
ever going to make her wish to be a magical girl or is season two on the way to make this happen
?

As always, I went into this movie properly prepaired...

I seem to have utilised my Miracle Light improperly, however, as whilst Cure Black certainly appeared on cue, she seemed to be curiously mute...

I still wonder if they handed out lights at the actual screening. lol

Had to do some (seriously late) spring cleaning on my lists. It's still not even close to being up to date so don't freak out. ;)

My compatability with firehawk12 is 79.9%.

The
flame out ending
was cute, but that played out pretty much as expected. I agree with whoever said it was better than Bakuman though. lol

I thought it was funny that the Japanese use "onomonopia" to mean... onomonopia. I wonder if that means that before American culture made it to Japan, Japanese funny books didn't have POW and WHAM sound effects. Or maybe it replaced whatever the Japanese word was at the time.

I'm not sure if that's just the sub, but assuming that's a proper translation, I find it interesting that "LGBT" exists as a thing in Japan.

No yuri, since I assume the Queen is the only female piece in a chess game.

Not really. Thought i find hard to believe that something with crappy writing could have a good story.

Well it's subjective in the first place, but a well-written plot could have nothing compelling about it while a poorly written one could be super interesting. They're not mutually inclusive.

I guess, though i just find hard to believe that someone who writes like Shakespeare would be so dump to write a story on Twilight level. At the same time, if you write like Stephenie Meyer i really doubt you could write the Hamlet.

One can be a brilliant writer and have horrible premises/conceptions/mythos for stories dude. The vice versa is true. I think sometimes there are imaginative and creative people out there who can tell awesome stories but suck at writing.

Yes, so the stories are only good... in their mind.

I thought it did a decent job. It only went up to the normal ending and I haven't seen the True End OAV yet. It was light on the action but the story bits weren't bad or that deviated from the game.

I enjoyed what I watched, which I think was up to episode 17 or so, but that's speaking purely as someone who was a Persona fan prior to the series.

The anime was good enough to convince me to buy it on vita...so I think the anime did its job well and worked somewhat, and Yosuke was quite the character.

I was always curious to see if the Anime actually worked for the uninitiated, as I doubt I would watch it myself if that was the case.

In terms of purely seeing more character interaction, it was certainly geared towards me, but the story's pace seemed to be suffering towards the latter-half of the series. As a game, I felt that the narrative elements worked because of it's RPG setting, which gave it ample time for characterization and setting the proper tone with the mystery backdrop. All of which was a luxury that an adaptation of an 60+ hour game was never going to be granted.

I've always found adaptations of video games to be an odd proposition, with it pretty much being a no-win situation. I know what I wanted from that series, but that would make it largely unpalatable for any newcomers, which seems like a strange audience to make a grab for. But that must be the point of a video game anime, surely?

You actually hear a lot of criticism about Shakespeare's plots, but almost nothing but love for his dialogue and writing in general. I think that's a good example. The opposite can happen too; good stories with shoddy writing and/or dialogue.

That's true. While P4 was a bit different considering there was the Vita port coming up, it was basically appealing to the existing fans and hoping that any new fans that would sit through all the unexplained goodness would like it to.

I really don't think most video games adaptations even see a boost in sales mostly cause they come out too late after the original game came out. Even if more people wanted to try it out after seeing the show, I would imagine they would get used copies instead.

Who is Imouto? Episode 3

This should just turn into a hentai, seriously.

They filled the MC up with basically the equivalent of 3x viagra and nothing happened. At least the MC basically admitted that if he had gotten the call he would have had sex with them.

Worst blue balls ever.

Did the goody goody girl just admit to being a pervert?

Dat Ass.

Man, Kayos90 is like a slightly less pretentious version of Doomed1 but every bit as irritating at times.

Sorry I come off that way. I just get irritated when I'm wronged and people accuse of me stuff that I didn't do. Unfortunately it's a habit I built from childhood so I get super upset when that situation arises, which is why I was like that earlier. Anyway, who's doomed1?

So I guess this Tina person is hanging around then, considering she shows up in the OP and the preview for the next episode. I wonder whose idea she was, and if they put her in because the series has like 5 women and have the combined panel time of a filler monster of the week.
