Its really not a big deal. Choose your favorite language unless the voice acting isn't good, then go somewhere else. Its just a personal recommendation as someone who's seen it. I don't have beef with someone that prefers one language over another because its such a petty thing to be mad about.

An anime based off East Africa. Its a great idea that isn't really seen in anime, even today. A lot of them seem scared to take place outside of Japan.

Some stuff really gets loss in translation, the original material is usually better since they have the direct material to work with. At least that's my mentality. With dubs they have to try to perceive what's the correct emotion and how to deliver it. Sometimes it's good, sometimes it's bad.

To me Dubs are just bad versions of things I like or worse versions of things I hate, and I know people who love them so I have to hear their defense all the time, which grates on me since they sound like complete trash to me.

I don't have enough empathy in me to understand how someone could like, let alone prefer the Gurren Lagann dub. Such a thing is so contrary to what I can possibly believe as the truth that it boggles my mind and pushes me to press for further information on how they came to such a ludicrous belief, which inevitably ends in me believing they just have terrible taste.

I don't get why Ikari would let the unit crush the plug, it was being run on a dummy AI right? they could have stopped it. and myabe I missed something but could Shinji not have just torn out the plug in the first place? I know that would probably fuck the person up on the inside because of the synchronisation but it would have been a better option than just letting it kill him. Also was the lighting supposed to be different in this episode because they were at dusk? the Colours for the units all seemed off maybe it was just the DVD I was watching

I believe that he thought he had to destroy the core. That core was probably in the plug when I first watched it, so that's what I thought he assumed too.
