Congrats. Finally hit 10,000 battles in Online FG.
Hard to believe this game came out 2 years ago. Still feels new to me.
Congrats.
What chars do you play online if I may ask?
Cool! I like that philosophy a lot Which is why I play a few characters that are considered bottom tier by the top players. At first I was only playing my main and had a 85%+ win rate, but then I spread myself thin because I wanted to get better with other characters.
I have a philosophy that I've kept since I thought Smash 64 was an Aptril Fools joke back in the 90s when reading Tips&tricks magazine
"Only play the characters you like personally and find a way to get good with them"
So my most played to least played:
King DeDeDe, Mario, Mewtwo, Lucas, Cloud, Little Mac, Bowser.
I love Dark Samus' animations (both in the Prime games and in Smash 4). After Ridley she is (was?) my most wanted Metroid rep. Being the main villain in the well received Prime series should have warranted her in Smash, but I guess not.
Can we talk about how cool Dark Samus would have been as a playable character? Too bad SSB4 was basically her only chance.

That is a fair point, but it is sad that a character only gets in Smash now if they have a "future" (unless they are a retro addition like Duck Hunt Duo, I guess). Smash used to be the history of Nintendo games, but it is not quite like that anymore, it seems.Problem is, she has no real future considering her character and story is essentially over.
IF we ever see more actual Metroid Prime games, the primary antagonist will be Sylux, courtesy of our lord and savior Tanabe.
My favourite Metroid villain is Yoshio Sakamoto.
To be fair, Sheik and Lucas were relevant during the planning of their respective debut Smash games, and R.O.B. and Duck Hunt are intentionally surprising retro characters. The only two not-quite-retro, not-quite-relevant newcomers I can recall in the entirety of the series are Ness and Marth, and they're both lead characters from multi-installment series. Not having a future hasn't stopped characters from getting in before (ROB, Sheik, Duck Hunt, Ness, Lucas).

Who's that?*Ninten cries to a corner*

Remember Casualty Mondays?I always get a sick pleasure out of deconfirmations via Assist Trophies.
I mean, is it a coincidence that the Waluigi AT had the two best updates for both Brawl and 4?
For you, the day Sakurai deconfirmed your favourite character was one of the more depressing days of your life.SAKURAI!!!!
I gave a room with 5 gamers a challenge to find the game mode 'trophy rush' on my 3DS and started them off on the main menu. It took them over 5 minutes working together to work it out. It's not hard to navigate.
I'm sorry for your poor memory.I gave a room with 5 gamers a challenge to find the game mode 'trophy rush' on my 3DS and started them off on the main menu. It took them over 5 minutes working together to work it out.
Also, if I've been away from the game for any length of time I genuinely have to think about where training, replays and records are before I go find them. I honestly can't think of any game menu system I can make that claim with as I can usually find my way to whatever in a game I've played before without any real conscious thought :/
I can understand that you'd be sorry for making something up, your apology is acceptedI'm sorry for your poor memory.
Yeah, that's what makes it so strange. The previous entries in the series had fairly serviceable menus so it's unusual that they upturned the boat in the latest one.Gotta agree with Geminosity, the Smash U menu is ridiculously unintuitive. Why is there are a "Games & More?" tab? Why does the game make you choose between Solo & Group mode options immediately after? Shouldn't Solo & Group be a choice AFTER you decide what mode to play (or why not do what Brawl did???) Custom and Vault need to be in their own sections, not in the Games & More tab. Why is training mode represented by a relatively tiny icon?
I can thumb through 64/Melee/Brawl's menu in my sleep, which I can't say the same about Smash 4. It's bad design.
All I said was that they aren't hard to navigate. You're the one throwing out the hyperbole.I can understand that you'd be sorry for making something up, your apology is accepted
I'm actually baffled that you're defending the smash bros menus and trying to claim they're not a usability nightmare.
