We still don't know if he has any armor to nullify projectiles, if his air flame choke ledge recovers or whether he can instantly cancel into moves off stuff like some of the other cast can. If he can do stuff like say how Link can instantly do followups off down or up throw without recovery lag then it'll be pretty solid damage. He wont be top tier of course no matter what given the roster I see, but we still need to play and find out what new followup options he has. As a ten year Dorfer main I can definitely say he looks a bit quicker on some stuff. I need to see how it chains to really tell whether he will work.

And again...increased rollspeed is in and it WILL make a difference on this character. He lived on it before and it being faster means he will get through easier than in brawl.

Man, Ganondrof with armor would be so sweet. I remember loving him in Melee, and I'm really trying to get good with him in PM, so if Gdorf ends up being decent in Smash 4 it'll be heaven for me.

Actually, you make a great point. It bothers me that Pikachu, Charizard, Lucario, Jigglypuff, Pichu, and Greninja all get counted as 'male characters'. They're not. They could be male or female, and are indeterminate as presented. If you're a girl playing the game (who likes Pokemon, anyway) they can all be females characters in your mind, just as legitimately as anyone who assumes they're male.

And do we have any proof that R.O.B. has a 'male' AI? I think not!

I dunno, I feel like both of those characters make a lot of sense all things considered. Sakurai's DHD is a million times better than what I imagined it would be.

I will be eternally salty at how some vets got treated though. Especially good characters like Wolf, Lucas, and ICs. I hate to see Snake, Ivysaur, and Squirtle go, but I can at least comprehend why they were cut. The first three are completely dumbfounding to me.

I really wanna know how he chains stuff now with these speed differences and if he can do that whole react instantly after down throw up throw stuff that Link can do. I used to flame choke into combo all day before...be nice if I can do it off normal throws. I also need to know if I can follow up after his air grab (not flame choke the other one) quicker. If so...imagine the instant lovin of grab up throw instant air grab cancel the backlfip into more shit.

No, we ****ing WON'T EVER see playable Ridley now. Not in a million years. If Sakurai is blind to the fan demand that even MEWTWO gathers, and simply DOESN'T give a conclusive statement about the fate of THE SINGLE most controversial Smash character, then I've given up on him. Same goes for K Rool. Mewtwo is gone for good as far as I'm concerned. Same goes for Snake. And every 3rd party candidate. Isaac doesn't even look to be an assist trophy this time around. 2 franchises lost characters, 2 franchises are NO LONGER REPRESENTED BY CHARACTERS AT ALL, and Metroid has Samus and Samus again for it's character"s". But we can expect Sakurai to add 2 more characters from his own franchise to the next set of games. I wouldn't put it past him. So, who's ready for him to "cut down on the clones" again? Don't be, he'll add another 3 and take a unique character away from you. 100% expecting Robin and Shulk to be cut now because **** the fans right?

in my opinion it does make no sense to not include Ridley or even Mewtwo ( Dr.Mario over Mewtwo.. WHAT THE ***) If this is the final roster i am highly disappointed.. 3 Kid Icarus reps but only 2 Metroid reps?! Even the Donkey Kong series didn't get Dixie Kong who would only be a clone like Dr.Mario (maybe a bit different). Really... this whole stuff makes no sense.

He looks improved, but still not great. The reason I say that is because while he's better, the entire rest of the cast is better as well which puts him in a janky predicament again. His power is phenominal though, he'll most likely not have any combo potential, but he'll have you off the stage in 3-5 hits most likely.


It's gonna be fun as hell playing with him though. I need to see his alt specials.... and colors.
