DLC NOT DEAD DLC MAYBE STILL ALIVE?

No one is denying DLC is a possibility, it's more the idea that they have pre-planned DLC in the game. Sakurai even says it is something to consider after the game is finished so it kind of goes against that to look for clue in the game.

Everybody and their moms are trophies on 3DS, but incredibly those three are reserved for Wii U? I find it hard to believe, but of course it's all speculation at this point.

Well we have pictures of Wii U trophies. If someone can show me them in the 3DS version I'm willing to accept the games share trophies. Otherwise I'm putting it down to coincidence that they are not 3DS trophies.

I very much agree with this, I've been seeing this thread (The MIIVERSE UPDATE thread mind you) get so much love and attention for information about the game itself outside of Miiverse since this morning (Over 6000 at least) while the OT for the 3DS game to discuss the game and information has barely been posted in

I can see trophies for Mewtwo and Ridley being rewards for clearing modes on high difficulties without continues and possibly with many characters. Mewtwo's trophy was very difficult to get in Brawl.

But if we don't see trophies for Dixie, Impa, or the Chorus Kids soon then we might have ourselves a point of intrigue.

Although we probably won't get an Ice Climbers trophy either.

The thought that people in the OT might not want to be spoiled aside from promo material isn't as silly as he/she thinks, especially when other mods had posted in the leaks thread as well. The leaks thread was to consolidate all of the leaks so that people didn't have to wade through hundreds of pages like this one, while I thought people in the OT might want to discuss the game generally. I'll admit it if I was wrong about the reason for having an OT, but to act like it's some ridiculous concept is silly itself.

I think this perfectly sums things up since wanting Ridley is a really western-centric idea.

I really want to see DHD-style Ridley now (aka based on the NES version with homages to Metroid NES), but I really don't think Ridley is anywhere near a required character.

So who actually got all or most of the characters that they wanted? I only got 2 (Bowser jr and Shulk) but I really wanted Ridley, Mewtwo, a new DK rep and a Ganondorf that isn't a clone as well. I'm a little disappointed honestly, I'm still hyped for the game and characters like Duck Hunt and Little Mac look like a ton of fun, but some of the character choices are baffling, like 3 KI characters with one being a straight clone, 4 FE characters with one being a straight clone, no new DK character despite the franchise seeing a massive revival with DKCR and lastly Dr. Mario coming back over Mewtwo.
Like I said, I'm still hyped for the game and this isn't a "this game sucks" or "fuck Sakurai" post, I'm just a little disappointed and confused with some of the choices for the roster

Not to be THAT guy... but well, I guess I'mma be THAT GUY.

As in, I pretty much got every single character I wanted:

- Samus (My main since the original and a given of course)
- ZSS completely separated from Samus
- Sheik Separated from Zelda
- Mega Man (wanted since before Brawl)
- Female FE Sword User (wanted since before Brawl and was teased with Lyn AT... and now I technically have two!)
- More female characters in general (definitely got that)
- Villager (Again... wanted since it was rumored in ye olde' pre-Brawl days)
- ROB returning (one of my most played in Brawl)
- Lucario over Mewtwo (I just plain like him better)
- Captain Falcon (won't lie, a part of me was scared lol)
- Off-the-wall picks (WFT? DHD? Bowser Jr. riding a Clown Car with Koopaling Alts?! Never expected any of these)

Then there's ones I didn't know I wanted - namely, Little Mac, Rosalina and Robin (since I've yet to play FE:A... ugh its on my list!).

My only casualties are Wolf (actually hoped Falco was dropped in favor of him but I knew that was unlikely), ICs (RIP), and Ridley getting interviewed for the job but getting the "we'll call you" treatment again.

So yeah, I'm hugely satisfied, though STILL no Ridley is a bummer.

Ehh. The OT has about the right amount of pages for a game not even released yet. When it's released people will talk about playing the game there - and the release in the west will keep it going longer than most OTs.

This Miiverse thread really should stay because of Wii U anticipation and the like. They are two separate games and should be treated as such. People enjoying the 3DS game don't want to see waiting for another one.
