Right now, Dark Pit and Dr. Mario are getting heats. There are only few people that are still hating on Duck Hunt.

I legit expected Duck Hunt Dog to be a Olimar and Pikmin clone where he "plucks" the ducks from the sky (calls them down? Shoots the sky and collects them?) and basically is just Olimar with a different FS but was super glad he wa sa unique character and looks fun while also being a huge classic throwback character. People hating on DHD are silly. People hating on DP and DM have a leg to stand on.

Waluigi. He is literally the only character I can think of that I would really like in Smash. Everyone else is either already in (Koopalings and Wario) or I don't care for them actually being in Smash.

I don't get some of the alt/clone character stuff. Like, Alph becomes an alt costume (unique model and sounds) but Dark Pit becomes a clone character while both have the same moves (apparently, though DP has a new FS). The Koopalings are alts for Bowser jr while Lucina is a clone character of Marth.

And if Ness really does have some Lucas moves as alts (which pleases me in a way though Lucas was all bout that up-smash) why can't he be an alt costume?

The Koopalings likely weren't given their own slots for aesthetic reasons - they'd clutter the CSS layout too much. Though I can't imagine why Alph was passed up...

Oh awesome, Wario moves WAY more fluidly now than he did in Brawl while still maintaining that 'weird' aesthetic Sakurai wanted for him. I feel vindicated in acting so anal retentive over that two years ago now!

Yes, it's based on the original Kirby's Dream Land. It has at the very least Green Greens and Dedede's Castle in it.

Because they look fun and interesting to play as? Most of my most wanted characters didn't get in. The only one who really did was Shulk, but I'd be happy with the roster even without him. I'm excited for little mac, DHD, and even wii fit trainer even though I've never played any games featuring them. Pac Man looks really cool, but I've never been a huge pacman fan either. Characters like Robin and Palutena I like a lot, but weren't really my most wanted characters either. You're narrow because you're ONLY willing to except 3 characters. It has nothing to do with likelihood, but how limited the options to please you are

Yes, it's named 'Dreamland' and basically just shifts between different Kirby's Dreamland stages. It's pretty cool.

I just don't understand the thoughts like "this franchise DESERVES more representation." Whoever gets added gets added because they'll be cool and fun and interesting or Dark Pit, not because Sakurai has some sort of Representation Checklist he has to cross every item off of before everyone will be pleased.

There's characters I really wanted who didn't get in, and I'm especially disappointed with the cut characters, but it's not like Tingle deserved to be in to fill a specified niche or something. When characters are added for the sole purpose of just filling in slots we get Dark Pit and Dr. Mario. If they were gonna add Dixie Kong just to give "more representation" and nothing else, she'd be totally shallow.

Robin is a really unique-looking character and he's very fun, but he's also someone both Sakurai and the fans really wanted, and that probably has a lot to do with why he looks so stand-out.

Sakurai has this amazing ability to enrage and excite me at the same time. Sakurai has given me something I have always wanted (Little Mac), and something I never thought was possible (Duck Hunt Dog), and yet he still pisses me off (Wolf, Ice Climbers, Ganondorf, Mewtwo).

Found out about all of the new alts today and I was surprised to see that they are putting different characters in as alts. Makes me still wonder why Dark Pit is not an alt. It would make sense given Alph is not separate character from Olimar.

Anyways, I am very happy with this roster as the newcomers are all very cool (My favorite being Megaman). I still want to see how Duck Hunt Dog will play out since I have such a hard time picturing it. The only thing that kind of sucks is Ice Climbers being cut. Overall superb choices made.

The sad part about this is that when Brawl came out, some Melee players actually did record videos of them destroying Brawl discs (smashing them or burning them) and posted them to Youtube. It was actually a surprisingly big fad, and I remember one guy having a broken Brawl disc as avatar.

I saw it played on in gema's livestream. The only music I heard was the original Kirby's Dream Land themes played in the respective areas.

Duck Hunt looks legitimately cool, he's actually based on the whole NES light-gun genre. He's a symbol of Nintendo's history, just like R.O.B.

If anyone should be hated, it's the literal recolor of a character, Dark Pit.

I adore Uprising so my bias is probably showing when I say Dark Pit doesn't annoy me beyond not integrating the stuff Pit got cut from Brawl. He's really only obnoxious when you consider the six veteran cuts and even then, DLC yadda yadda yadda.

Dr. Mario annoys me way more, though if he's Melee Mario he's somewhat vindicated IMO. Has anybody played as him yet? If he still has FLUDD then it was totally pointless not having him as a costume for Mario like he probably started off as.

There's our difference. I couldn't care less about a characters moveset so long as it relates to their game and they don't completely suck. An interesting moveset isn't going to make me use a character I don't like (Robin for example).
