His throws were great though. Back Throw (I think? The one with mini shadow balls) was my favourite move in the game. PEW PEW PEW.

I would be okay with those moves being changed, but Mewtwo wouldn't really need much work to begin with.

It's the Obstacle Course arrangement. You remember how that shifted in tone when the seasons changed? I heard that going on.

Awesome stuff. Glad Jiggly looks better than she was in Brawl (although this would probably be clearer in the hands of a better player), although I was kinda disappointed that she didn't use a Rest. I really need to know if that's back to its' former glory. Brawl's Rest was possibly the most flaccid move in the entire game.

The other person who was streaming actually used Rest when unlocking Jigglypuff and it seemed like a weird mix between Melee's Rest and Brawl's Rest, like it was quite a bit stronger than Brawl's without the flower effect but it launched the victim towards the top like in Brawl, but it did look stronger.

Opinion on Dark Pit:

If people liked using Pit in Smash, I think he won't be scrutinized as much and a lot will love the addition. Let's give Dark Pit a fair chance guys.

I'm kind of excited for him, actually. I like both characters from Uprising, but Pit's moveset never really clicked with me. If Dark Pit is a heavy-hitter like I've been hearing, then he might just wind up in my character rotation.

Donkey Kong Junior has died time and time again. But he never stays dead, for long anyway. The end for now is only the beginning for another phase. For now, we rest. Bide your time. Enjoy the game despite its flaws, as contrary to (not so) popular/vocal opinion, one character will not make/break it. It would have been 1,000 times better with him in it as playable, sure. Until we actually get word on the reason for his exclusion, or word that DLC is in fact a possibility, then Donkey Kong Jr. speculation is over. That doesn't mean support is. However you interpret that is up to you.

Really though, this thread should have just stuck to community long ago. The conversations that often took place were basically community-type discussions. Any interesting POTD would have just warranted new threads.

I'm not going to argue that; I feel like I stated my opinion on some of the behavior in here during the year before and, in my opinion, some posters are very lucky they got away with as much as they did (and that EmCeeGramr is as nice as he is). But it was a mod decision to keep us in gaming. They saw what happened with the Wii U speculation threads (which caused a stir of its own) so they very well could have expected what would happen.

That's not a Nintendo obsession, that's a Sakurai obsession. Nintendo would probably be the reasons we have DLC in the first place given that Iwata has stressed over and over again how important of a title Super Smash Bros is for the Wii U. They would do everything in their power to milk this cow.

Yeah, Wolf was an amazingly realized Star Fox character for only being in one game. His forward B was super satisfying to sweetspot.

It's funny. There was a demo release that only had 5 characters in it and it was great to see people explore that limited amount of characters. Now we've got a roster of 51 and people are all whiney, including myself a bit. There is a lot to explore in this game and 51 is a phenomenal amount of content.

Sure it stings to lose a few favorites and have your dream characters unrealized but if you can't find at least a handful of characters to enjoy in this massive roster than you should be a bit more open minded.

Don't even bother, it's not just ludicrous, it's patently incorrect. Fox and Wolf's specials share a HELL of a lot more in common, animation and performance wise, than that poorly-thought-out analogy EVER did.

I was joking out deleting it, I was just musing due to the low traffic considering how high traffic every single other Smash thread is, including a leak thread this morning that had 22 pages just discussing stuff in the 3DS version, and there was no reason that couldn't have been in the OT. You know, the thread whose purpose is for people playing the game to talk about it?

I'm sorry this upsets you so much, but it confuses me that the Smash Bros. community doesn't seem to want to follow the same etiquette as the rest of the forum.
