Ah, that makes sense.
Jigglypuff, the Balloon Pokémon, has joined the battle![/code]
Booring, damn sakurai failing to start the hype train. I just realized the direct is 50 "must see things" up until now I thought it was "50 new things" oh boy I'm a little worried now. Watch us end up with mostly item, menu and trophy talk.
Mario - The Great Gonzales
"MD in hand" as a title would be...odd.
Nice to see they refer to the character as a crewCode:Duck Hunt, the old-school hunting crew, has joined the battle!
>Lucina, hero from a doomed future, has joined the battle!
oh ok :|
Dark Pit's will be "Ctrl+C / Ctrl+V"Dark Pit's will be "Pit in Black." Ugh, or something generic like "The Dark Angel."

Probably "The Canonical Clone"
Better get that table ready then.I swear, if Jiggs' title is "Balloon Pokemon", I'm going to flip a table.
Pit: The One and Only!
Dark Pit: The One and--- Oh.
Dark Pit's will be "Ctrl+C / Ctrl+V"
SPAINKILLER CONFIRMED REAL!This must be a hint that either Dixie Kong or Ridley will be announced tomorrow!
Or it's just tournament mode
Yeah im here thinking isnt that what they said. The only thing I want is a lobby online system, please samurai if you give me that *and ridley* you can talk about items and menus all you want.Nintendo did say "new" originally
So Ridley and Dixie will be announced in this direct right?![]()
Pic of the day. The giant screen in the Boxing Ring stage for Wii U reenacts the multiscreen effect seen in the arcade version of Punch-Out!! Looks like their aliases are displayed on the screen too.

Maybe it-s a hint that Retro is working on the new Punch-Out.I can't help but see DK vs Samus in the PotD as a nod to the two franchises Retro Studios worked on the most.
Let's not forget the greatest resource for naming characters in Smash
Would hope not. Next Level Games deserves the chance to make a sequel.Maybe it-s a hint that Retro is working on the new Punch-Out.
You mean by Next Level Games.guys you're missing the secret message
Donkey Kong x Metroid game by Retro
The Punch Out!! Wii dev did such a great job, though. It would be a shame if they didn't get to make a new Punch Out in the future.Maybe it-s a hint that Retro is working on the new Punch-Out.
What's so odd?

So much hype. Kind of odd they're doing the direct tomorrow though. Wonder what Friday's special POTD will be.

Punch-Out!! for Wii was an amazing game but it faces two big problems: 1) it apparently sold like shit and 2) Punch-Out!! isn't easy sequel material. For a sequel you either have to create an all-new lineup of characters (which Disco Kid, the sole original fighter, wasn't that great and there's only a few great leftovers) or change up the gameplay in some way that would probably ruin the beautiful simplicity of Punch-Out!!
I'd still like a sequel with Dragon Chan, Narcis Prince, Masked Muscle, the Bruiser Brothers, and maybe some of the weirdos from Arm Wrestling like Frank Jr. I was really hoping that Bald Bull's Title Defense fight would have been Mask X, at least.
