If you've played a Tales game before this really shouldn't be a surprise as a possibility.
Teepo's voice is great from what I heard so far. And I much prefer Jude's English voice. I hope we get the Day one edition for NA and for preorder at Amazon...

This comes out in august, right? I'm hopeful that's enough time for me to get enough money together to put down a pre-order on this.

Not the entire game, but part of it.
I've played lots of Tales games, can't of any where that would have made sense outside of Duke possibly. There's Asch but then
he wasn't the last boss of his game.

The female cast is strong in this game, and Milla is the best of the three. She's easily my favorite. Great personality and playability.
man I hope so.
I hope the artbook will have same amount of pages because I won't buy the Collector's Edition and this figure is better

So what kind of anime trope category would milla fit under?
Spoilers (not about content actually in the game, but it concerns the ending):
Baba said in a post-mortem interview that they would have liked the game to branch out into different ending scenarios. One where Muse joins and you fight Gaius, one where Gaius joins and you fight Muse, and one where you fight both. Maybe there would be a way to get both to join as well and there's some other third enemy, but this wasn't mentioned as a possibility.
I think if they were given more time, something like this would have been put in. The interviews and guide/world books on Xillia are pretty interesting because they had quite a few gameplay ideas in mind and the characters and universe are pretty elaborate, but these things either aren't in the game at all or aren't featured in much detail.

They are slightly cheaper if you are able to preorder it.
Oh wow that sounds awesome. Too bad the game was seemingly rushed.
Based on what I've seen and know about her, I'd say this one. Dunno if that's really anime though, but it seems her most defining characteristic early on.
Is Xillia 2 better in this regard?
I'm less knowledgeable on Xillia 2 than the first (haven't beaten it yet), but Xillia 2 does not flesh out everything in the guide books / auxiliary material. I think it would be impossible to do so without derailing the game's plot several times.
Xillia 2's story, however, is much more enjoyable to me. Xillia 2 also tweaks the battle system to make it better (sadly no multiplayer Link Mode fix, but it brings in Around Step, most notably).
There are a LOT of recycled areas in X2 though. They were bland in the first game, but revisiting these areas again? ugh.
Also the PCs. We have Ludger and Gaius/Musee (while this is their first time playable, they aren't new personalities) plus the original cast.
I dunno. I think if Xillia 2 existed without Xillia, it would be a fantastic game. But since the first exists, Xillia 2's great mechanics and story feel slightly dampened by the fact that so much is reused.
I'm OK with reused stuff if the stuff happening in those areas is new and interesting. Xillia 2 sounds much better to me.

Looks like you might get the DLC too, it has a bonus image, but if you click on it, it messes up, so don't know for sure.
Apparently you don't follow me on Twitter or check the Pick-Ups GAF thread where I always post my figure pickups.
Why not get the standalone game and put the rest of the money towards that Alter figure, unless you specifically collect games bundled with figures.

It's not on the Canada EBGames site, but has anyone in Canada been able to pre-order it? I'm just stressing out because this reminds me of the Persona 4 Golden limited edition that I initially missed out on because it also only had 10k copies printed... had to get my limited edition for a bit more than it was being sold for. Don't wanna go through that again.

After the Ni No Kuni fiasco, Gamestop seems like the most based company on Earth.
As long as they don't pull a Fire Emblem at least I know my copy is relatively secure.
I have not seen pre-order for any Canada store yet .
For P4G Solid Gold Edition , i ordered it from Gamestop U.S
And i just did the same for the collector edition of Tales of Xilia.
If i see Pre-order going up for Gamestop Canada i might change my pre-order but i don't take any chance.
