I didn't say it's useless, but if you're in a bad spot where you would actually want to use rage drive, you don't want your back turned to someone who is going to try to poke you to death. But hey, I'm not a Tekken god. I suppose it's possible to do the rage drive out of a combo, but I'm not that sophisticated yet.
ricecakebunny, main xiaoyu but now using Josie.
Got you, 1 more spot open

Are you online at the moment ?
? Yeah?
I can't see your invite for some reason. What's your ID.
So many characters I'm trying to relearn and learn in general. Jin, Kazuya, Asuka, Devil Jin, King, Heihachi, Lars, Master Raven, Akuma, Shaheen, Steve, and more too, just a lot I've been used to and have been playing for years but I haven't picked up in a while. That's one reason why I love fighters. These games have major longevity if you're willing to learn all the ins and outs.
Are you a Xiaoyu player ?
Its easy for her to get into Back stance.
if xiaoyu has her back towards you, she has more of an advantage then you do unless she does something stupid like her kick or california kick and its blocked.
I mained Xiaoyu in T3, though I wasn't playing at a very high level.
I learned with her backward stance to crouch and turn away from the enemy instead of just turning backwards. Its easy for enemies to punish with jabs. That's just a small tip. Also aotp dodges a ton of sht. Using California roll without the kick and setting up mind games is also amazing.I mained Xiaoyu in T3, though I wasn't playing at a very high level.
I've never used her back stance much; I usually get punished when I'm in it unless it's part of a combo, so obviously I need to do more work with that stance.

I just finished a couple sets on ps4. It works. (Just not the best)I would kill for the online to work on ps4 . Seriously thinking about buying the game on pc

Holy shit, King is a beast!

Is Tekken the 2nd most popular fighter behind SF in EVO?
Thanks for the tips. I have a high wall to climb with her.
I think I need to invest in a stick eventually, I flub too many diagonal inputs with the pad.
The gameplay feels really tight and polished, I can see myself sticking with this for quite a while. Looking forward to mastering Yoshimitsu properly again.

Any tips for a Steve newbie?, having trouble mounting an effective offense...
I use ps4 controller but yeah mastering a stick gives you an amazing amount of control over your character. Hard at first but if you're a fighting game fanatic, its the way to go.

best ling in japan and best ling in USA. You can learn a lot from watching their moves and techniques. I follow tanu's aggressive nature more.
That's fucking genius. I had no idea. I need to apply this to my Ling play.

Who are the Nina players? Any pro's I should know about? Any tips?
So strange. For me movement felt rough, and all the different button combinations were harder on stick. I play stick on every fighting game, but I fired this up on day one on release and couldn't wave dash worth shit or korean back dash, or effectively do certain button combos, etc.
Tried pad just to see, and it was night and day.
Any scrub wanna play against a scrub like me on Steam? Add me.
Only Practice is a very strong Nina player
What's the deal with Lee's voice? She has feminine vocalizations and then... screeches as a voice?
Yeah I love Tanukana's Ling from a style perspective. I'm just taking it slow right now though. This is going to sound odd, but I've never really used air juggles, I've always thought they were kind of a bullshit part of the game. I still kind of do in a way, but I want to be more competitive now so I have to get with the program. So right now I've been working on being more comfortable with launchers and finding some combos that work for me. I can already see an improvement, but there's so many aspects to her and ways to play her that I have a long way to go.
