I had steamed broccoli with nothing but salt and pepper last night. Good stuff.
Thinking chicken and broccoli with rice for dinner.
Sounds awesome. You thinking a soy/oyster sauce/hoisin kind of flavor profile?
Broccoli nerd
We're all nerds of some kind here. I'll wear my Broccoli Nerd badge proudly. *pushes glasses up nose*

... We have got to make a TV show out of this thread. It'd be so amazing. But what shall it be called, and what type of show shall it be?

Probably. Either that or I'm gonna be lazy and make a cheddar cheese sauce or something, haha

there's so much broccoli going on in my kitchen right now
I'm kidding, though the specific suggestion made me chuckle. I came in this thread for a reason.
I like my broccoli any way but fresh.
Game show, "TERRISUS AND THE BROCCOLI QUIZ."
Pics pls k thx
made about 2 quarts of brocc soup for tomorrow.
working on chicken brocc alfredo for dinner tonight
You can really just stare into it forever and meditate on the swirls on its surface.
BTW, how are you planning to make the alfredo?
I have my own variation that I usually use.
I dip my chicken into flour and pan fry it, then I make my sauce starting with a roux and add my cream slowly, let it simmer, then add the cheese pretty much at the end
Now see, everything up through here is great.
but then once broccoli gets involved, it becomes something greater
He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster.
And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you.

I dip my chicken into flour and pan fry it, then I make my sauce starting with a roux and add my cream slowly, let it smmer, then add the cheese pretty much at the end. While the sauce cooks I drop the brocc into boiling water to steam it real quick, then take a saute pan and toss a serving of sauce, pasta, brocc, and chicken into it til it's nice and hot, then dump it on a plate.
Thanks to this thread I went and stacked up on some broccolino
Sounds amazing! Freaky Fred, are you related to this chap?

Harvest Moon Back to Nature is one of my favorite games of all time, and it's mostly because ofKarenthe cooking and cooking contest. I always win that shit.
I know that's the N64 game, but same thing
I know that's the N64 game, but same thing
Loved 64, BTN and FOMT, maybe BTN > 64 (which was my first foray into the series)
HM64 is best HM
<3 Maria
Back to Nature > SNES > > > > > everything else
no broccoli though![]()
Just wanted to say that you guys are so lucky you had the chance of growing up playing Harvest Moon 64 (never released in PAL regions)

wut.
I always completely ignored that girl. She probably hates broccoli too. I bet she sits in the library tearing up any book that even mentions broccoli's mysterious powers.
The two best girls in the series are Karen in BTN and Ann in SNES. This is not debatable.
let's get back to the broccoli though
Broccoli is truly the best vegetable. It tastes good with most things. I love mashing it with butter, salt and cream or frying it.
Had some broklee tonight, not enough cheese but still delish

I'll agree on the first statement, since HM64 is pretty comparable to BTN, but did you play FOMT? Pretty much best of both worlds there.
Terry, you could just get a vita and play BTN at home or on the go.
Loading times, no thanks :þ
it's a game about farming... have some patience

I tried it a few times, but every time my gag reflex goes on overdrive.
I conclude it's an inedible plant matter and I have a hunch it's responsible for 90% of diseases too.
Had some broccoli today, with a dusting of garlic salt. Solid. One of the weekend's food highlights, along with a particularly choice banana.
I know maxc likes to see pics of broccoli, so here's what I ate tonight
No, but I enjoy both so much that I'm not entirely opposed to the idea of eating them concurrently. No mouth-mixing, though.Nice! I'm guessing you didn't eat those two foods together.

Dear Max, terrisus and everyone else who likes broccoli, I took this pic for you today
Mmm, Promotion Broccoli. Easily the best of all Broccoli.
But seriously, I want it all. If only all broccoli was like that. Oh, and you're mistaken if you believe that Terrisus likes broccoli. Either that, or he's in a Broccoli Closet of sorts.
Also, that's the scariest broccoli mascot i've ever saw, and by a long way.
