That wouldn't make them martyrs. They'll want to go out with a last fight.
There's also the grenade to consider. It needn't be launched, it could also be used as an IED.

It would be hilarious if they could taze themWell then just shoot them in the knees or something

Small news update: there have been negotiations about the evacuation of a nearby school with young children (200 children aged between 3 and 10 years old). Apparenty the terrorists agreed to it.

Negotiating with the terrorists about the evacuation of a nearby school? Why? Not like they have any say in it. They're not getting out of that building.

Either the specialists think it's still possible to negotiate with the terrorists, then the hostage situation can go on for a long time, or the fugitives' determination to die as martyrs doesn't leave any room for negotiation then armed intervention becomes necessary. The whole difficulty for negotiators, he says, is to determine when you go from one situation to the other.
The GIGN only intervenes when "the hostages are clearly put in danger (...) Having the terrorists surrender the hostages is the priority", another former GIGN officer says.
In case the negotiations get broken, "the difficulty is that there would be no survival instinct anymore" from the two men, who'd then try to cause as many casualties as possible among law enforcement. The priority of political authorities will be to save the hostages' lives."It's also the ethics" of the intervention forces.
Bullets can get out though. It's supposed to be really close.
Have you seen Die Hard?
A school in an industrial area?
there are buildings next to it. Its just a hugeass factory next to a village
Yes, close by. these are small industrial areas in small cities.A school in an industrial area?
Cant they put them to sleep by adding some chemicals to the ventilation system?

Bad idea. That is actually what the russians did once and it was terrible. It's quite difficult to know how much you have to pump in to fill the building so that everyone actually gets asleep without putting in too much so that everybody dies.Cant they put them to sleep by adding some chemicals to the ventilation system?

The hell, any links? These are truly terrible days for france. There was another shooting in paris, one person injured and an hostage taken.
Because they are losers. They often are unemployed have no family and friends that radicalize them.I see that these two brothers were allowed to travel to and from France to go fight in Syria, while having criminal records and being known to intelligence agencies.
How is it that so many European muslims seem to have free reign to get radicalised and travel all over the place, get criminal records, go fight in Middle Eastern wars, return to Europe when they want and get their hands on serious weaponry, all under the noses of Western intelligence, who know who they are?
A similar situation came to light in Australia recently, where Muslims were getting radicalised in networks in Australia, traveling to the Middle East to fight in wars, and returning back to Australia.
I hope these questions get asked.
That's probably not the printshop but a distribution center that journalists are allowed to filmIs this it (the printing works that is)? Seems close to a village.

It's the location, but not the building afaik. It's the smaller one next to it with the grey roof next to the one with the red roof. You have to zoom in to see it. If you use google steetview you will see blue signs and it looks like the small printshop from the descriptions. Is this it (the printing works that is)? Seems close to a village.

New shooting in Paris apparently.
Yes, this is a topic that is important too. The guy in Australia clearly had enough red flags. We shouldn't stop immigration and people who escape wars, but when people are doing crap in the country that tried to help them, throw them out.I see that these two brothers were allowed to travel to and from France to go fight in Syria, while having criminal records and being known to intelligence agencies.
