If you're referring to the sauna scene, a dialogue option is hardly confirmation that she's lesbian, when you can choose to flirt with Skjall. She was clearly attracted to him. Skjall wasn't exactly a looker either.

The difference is, men represent the vast majority of core gamers. Why are games getting filled with strong girl boss protagonists, when they dont represent the majority of consumers? just cause you bend over and accept anything, doesnt mean all of us should.
So fine, the left has their own agenda, like we have ours, but they cant sustain a game by themselves because they are a minority. Most men want to play as a self-insert even if it is a named/specific character.

Great trailer and seeing the snowflakes crying because we control Ciri rather than Geralt, the protagonist of the three previous games whose story was anyway finished is just the icing on the cake. I trust in cdpr.

Maybe if you actually played Witcher 3, which is going on 10 years old now, you would know the game essentially setup Ciri to take the main stage, and for Geralt to step aside on the next game. This is not some new "modern audience" woke BS people are trying to shove down our throats, this was planned long before the modern culture wars took hold. Be better, learn to apply nuance to different circumstances.
And the fact that they lost the ability to create more witches, hence how they're going extinct

The point you are completely missing in your keyboard rage is that you are trying to push an agenda on a game that clearly is following the original story and the development of it in the games. CD Red is not pushing an agenda. You are.
There are games that are pushing agendas and I can understand some level of criticism against that even though I find it exaggerated and immature most of the time.
However, Ciri is not that. Not at all.

The difference is the emotional involvement. You can reject these type of games and not buy them. The market will regulate itself. I asked this last night in the TGA OT but got overlooked and I'm not reading nearly 500 posts to see if anyone else addressed it (sorry).
It's been a while so my memory is definitely fuzzy but I thought Ciri couldn't become a full on Witcher; like using potions and shit. Did they address that in the DLC (which I never got around to) or am I just remembering incorrectly.
I don't actually care as long as the game is good. Just curious.

Originally she could not do that - you are right.
They faced the choice of expanding her abilities based on her blood, or allow her to become a full Witcher. Personally I think the first option would have been more interesting and in line with the original lore.

For comparision thats how proper witcher cgi can look, huge difference in talent of ppl who made it
august 2013 so over 11years ago, barely any progress technically, huge regress in everything else(pace, story, actual messege and overall hype).
Not judging game coz we didnt see game but that cgi trailer is trash af, at least from my pov.
And ofc they had to make ciri's face older/uglier, cdpr is corpo now, and they cant allow male gaze
You're comparing expensive CGI to prerendered in engine cutscenes. A more accurate comparison would be something like Diablo 3 cinematics to Diablo 4 cinematics.

When she drank the potion in the trailer I was very confused. Having read the books, I knew Ciri shouldn't be chugging down potions. Hell, she's so powerful that she doesn't really need the effects of the potions.
Finding out that CDPR has pretty much abandoned the book reasons as to why Ciri shouldn't undertake the Trial of the Grasses, doesn't really bolster my confidence in the game.

Have they even stated when 4 would take place? People keep going to what Ciri looked like in 3, but in this footage she looked older and tired. Therefore I figured the timing between 3 and 4 would be pretty large.

Eh yes she is "powerful", bot not invincible - her powers are abstract, and many of them she can't control (as we see in Witcher 3). From what we see her powers mostly involved teleportation and even time travelling, powerful traits but not exactly things which allow you to stay toe to toe with a wide range of powerful monsters and magical creatures.
Those Witcher potions were designed specifically to enhance traits which would give the person an edge in such scenarios.
