I'm go out on a limb here and say that if this were somewhere between 2015-2019, and CDPR announced Ciri would be the new protagonist, a lot of the same people complaining right now would not have complained back then. And I hope people here have enough reading comprehension to know "a lot" doesn't mean "all", in case you want to say "Well not me!"
I'm pretty anti-woke, but I think the constant 24/7 culture warring has inflicted brain rot in some folk, and they're seeing ghosts everywhere now. I've seen a number of people say Ciri has a fat face and a square jaw in the trailer.
Like how in the FUCK are people seeing that?
Futhermore I'm getting no girl boss vibes either. One difference between Geralt and Ciri is Geralt has lived a lot longer and understands and is used to how shitty humans are. Ciri hasn't been witching nearly as long, and likely hasn't had her spirit broken. Her getting pissed off at the people in this trailer makes sense and is totally in character for her.
