This shows that just over 40% are women. Lines with with what Matt Piscatella shared from Circana a little while ago.

Geralt is retired so it makes sense that Ciri becomes the new Witcher cause she did in one of the ending. I don't mind as I always liked her in Part 3. Should be interesting with her also being a magic user.
I do wanna see some ingame footage but I guess it's too early for that. It's my current most hyped game on the show since they still haven't shown GTA VI, Resident Evil, FFIX Remake, Half Life 3, or Elder Scrolls VI.

The Witcher franchise didn't become what it is today because of Ciri. Many of us care as much about playing as Ciri as we did playing that dumbass Gotham Knights game featuring everyone but Batman.

I didn't really like ciri before... hopefully there is more to her than the typical strong independent wammens in this game

How did you determine the "agenda"? I think it was pretty obvious from the last game, that Ciri was being built up as a future direction for the franchise. You even play as her. Did CDPR plan out this "agenda" in 2011, when they started developing The Witcher 3?

Most of the polls take mobile into consideration or are biased as fuck trying to push their agenda ... and youtube ? If you watch 1 female streamer consistently the youtube will shove female streamers into your front page as it works for everything else the algorithm seems in your tastes.

The only Witcher game that was greatly successful has you play as Ciri. She's been almost all the books and was part of the show on Day One. Ciri is integral to the Witcher, and this isn't a superhero mantle.
They told you Geralt's story was over, and they practically teed this up most of 10 years ago. Get over it.
No one ever complained about the idea of getting to play as all the core Batfamily members. The problem wasn't that you can "only" play as Grayson, Todd, Drake and Gordon, but the fact that the writing was shit because it was a live service mess.

When I saw that trailer for Gotham Knights I said and I quote "I don't give a fuck". Never bothered playing the crony character's DLC in the original trilogy. Never bothered reading Nightwing, Robin(TimDrake), Birds Of Prey, or Batgirl(Barbara) comics. I'm not the only one who didn't care. You can try playing it off like it had nothing to do with Batman not being the MC. You aren't fooling me.
The Witcher 2 sold 8 million in less than 4 years. Yeah man you play as Ciri briefly in Witcher 3. You mentioning it like she is Miles Morales in Spiderman 2. Playing as her contributed as much to the success of that game as playing as Mary Jane in Spiderman 2.

Are you suggesting the reason the game was sucessfull was because of playing 5% of the game as her? Thats some terrible, terrible argument. The best quest in the game is not even about her. But seeing that you throw the "get over it" response, theres not much to talk really.

I had a feeling we would be playing Ciri. That is totally fine. But they will do things that will not be fine. Already a heavy dose of girl boss and rewriting the lore in this trailer. The game will be more safe and less offensive, while also being offensive to those who care about the characters and lore. If there will be any romance, you can almost bet it will be lesbian. Can't wait to slay some monsters, the patriarchy, and pink tacos.

This is ultimately what I'm curious about how they manage it. CDPRs website describes her as "a monster slayer" and not a Witcher, so until we know more, I'm expecting they take this into account.

The Witcher...it can be about ANY "Witcher" just like AC can be about any Assassin or Yakuza can be about any gangster or Splinter Cell can be about any Splinter Cell agent as if you kill Sam "one will take my place"
Stop trying to force this idea that this IP was ONLY for 1 person and can ONLY be about 1 person, I never really got that with this IP as you speak with many Witchers and they have their own little club, but the IP as a game never really only made it seem like it was just about him being the only Witcher or something odd like that.
