She won’t look like that in the actual game. Geralt looked different in the cinematic trailers too.

She does look different but she is probably meant to be a lot older. She was like 21/22 in Witcher 3 I think. She could be 30-40 here.
I wouldn’t worry about it until we see some real gameplay.

I always liked Ciri in Witcher 3 as well as Triss, Yennifer, and Geralt. And I'm interesting in her being a main protagonist. But I definitely agree that she looks ugly and weird in the new one. My hope is because she's a lot older but I doubt it's just that. She don't just look older which would have been fine but she looks off and weird and not in the good way either. PC version will fix her which is what I game on. 'm still interested in the game cause I've been disappointed with the whole show since they didn't show RE9, a Remake, FFIX Remake, GTA VI, Elder Scrolls VI, or Half Life 3.

Yeah it's a CG trailer so it's not how she'll look in game or in game cutscenes. I remember Tifa looking very different in FFVII Remake's CG scene compared to her ingame cutscenes.

First of all, we’re just sick of established franchises with male leads replaced by female leads. From Star Wars to LOTR, to Marvel to Ghostbusters, at this point I’m just done with it. If you want a female lead, do a new IP, like Horizon or some such, stop trying to fuck what is already established.
As for aging, isn’t it part of the lore that Witcher’s age much slower than normal people? Isn’t Geralt over 100 years old and look in his prime?

As far as purely cinematic trailers go, this was pretty great, I like that they treated it like a short film with a story, a lesson some of these other trailers could have learned from. Astonishing graphics too, although CDPR are infamous for over-promising on graphics.
We all knew Geralt wasn't going to be the main, so Ciri is probably the best case scenario as far as alternatives go.

Well she wasn't a Witcher in the past games, she was just trained as one. But now she seems to have actually undergone the mutations to become a Witcher proper, so she would look different.

It's from the last book. Ciri gets a Cat medallion which she carries through to TW3; you can see it on her waist on the left side.

Watching it again, Ciri does look better in the last part of the trailer and less off compared to the rest of her appearance in the other parts of the trailer. Basically a older version of herself. The final ingame cutscenes could also look different compared to the CG trailer.
The ending where she becomes a Witcher is the ending I got on my first playthrough in Witcher 3 so I'm more welcome in her being the main character plus I like her a lot in Part 3 and wanted her to have more skills and be more playable. I do really like Geralt too even if Witcher 3 was my only Witcher game but the guy retired in the second expansion. He deserves the rest and retirement after all he's been through. I definitely prefer playing as Ciri over a new random Witcher since I'm already used to her in part 3.
Plus the monsters she fights could very well be stronger than the ones fought by Geralt because Ciri is a powerful sorceress with great potential. I can imagine her endgame power in lore being more powerful than Geralth. So she could end up fighting stronger foes with the use of her sorcery and witcher ability combined.
With her Witcher's physical powers and her powerful magic from her Elder Blood. She could surpass both Yennifer and Geralt.

I purchased the Witcher 2 and 3 on steam, Xbox and just the Witcher 3 on ps5. I’m not buying this game. CDPR is free to make their choices and we are free to do the same with our $$$.
