I like the disingenuous comments about how Ciri was always supposed to be next protagonist of The Witcher series. 2015 Ciri, absolutely.
But after what happened in the past 5 years with this industry, after CDPR were advertising their illegal DEI hiring practices until last month, if you want to argue the new Fat DEI Ciri isn't going to be a propaganda tool for their brain rot vision, you're just not being honest.
Thankfully, we now live in a post-Concord world, and all these games that started development during the dark ages will get their due.

Correct she wasn't always meant to be the successor. She's not even a proper Witcher for crying out loud. The Witcher saga ended. Ciri was a part of that.
They could have introduced a new Witcher just as easily but then that would have meant not utilizing already developed characters that are universally loved by the fans of franchise.
That being said, I don't mind Ciri being mp.

I didn't expect to be playing as any of the established characters tbh. I thought they'd show up as story beats but we'd play as someone new.

I love Ghost of Yotei. I don't like the intergalactic.. not my thing and the main character seems insufferably annoying for some reason. I'm OK with Ciri as long as CDPR doesn't butcher her character to fit whatever new social agenda they are supporting these days.

I'm not that well versed in the Witcher, but Ciri is a great character and is how a strong female lead should be done.

I know their quality will be good. Ghost of Tsushima and TLOU2 were my favorite two games the year they came out. The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk are also amazing. Simple logic. I'm not offended or feel threatened by girl bosses. Next.

From the cinematic it looks they removed her super powers she had in Witcher 3, and made her into a normal Witcher that needs to use potions to cast magic and needs 2 swords instead of just 1. But the wenches... how am i supose to plow them now? And will there even be any romance in WItcher 4, like there was in all previous Witchers?

I think it's pretty obvious at this point what I mean and yet I need to ask: are these people aware that they are reinforcing the very same gender stereotypes they seem to hate? My problem is that all the series staples hinge on the protagonist being a witcher. Potions, decoctions, mutagens, seeing in the dark, enhanced physical abilities, etc.
Ciri has her own powers, but they aren’t those of a Witcher, so this still wouldn’t make sense. I still wonder what potion she drank in the trailer because witcher potions are highly toxic in no small part due to their base almost always being a strong alcohol that is so concentrated that it’s dangerous to humans. How Ciri can drink those without the biological mutations to neutralize the toxins is a mystery.

All you have to do is find a helmet and ND protagonist looks fine. The facial structute is actually cute.
I'm not saying Ciri looks bad but man she has some strong jawlines, actually reminds a lot of Geralt.

Ciri is a good character and gameplay wise I can see the Devs being able differentiate the gameplay experience Vs playing Geralt. Just need to lean into her unique power set. On the other hand Ciri lacks a little of Geralts charm and quick wit, but it all depends on how the writers approach it.
Finally. Is it just me or was it Henry Cavilles voice that played at the end (”see you on the path, Witcher” bit?). Could that be a hint that the Geralt of this version will be voiced by him?

The beginning says rendered on UE5. Probably on a 6090 but still. But I agree on the possible bullshots. Of course, I don't think the Cyberpunk cinematic was said to be in engine.
