In addition, you can find it used for 25 dollars or less.

It is a massive sales drop. While initially it sold amazing, now it is almost gone.

Also, there seems to be no fanbase, no positive word to mouth. While you find viral stuff about Ghost of Tsushima outside of games media, you did not find anything about the Last of Us 2.

Did you see viral posts about the Last of Us 2? For Ghost of Tsushima you see a lot, on imageboards for example.

Same goes for fanart, there is tons more for Ghost now and the game is newer.

If it has a fanbase, they are closed community.

The fan base that DOES exist are full of hardcore fans that will defend it until the end of time. I just never felt there was a ton of replay value at all, so it was a large one and done scenario for the majority of players. At least that's what I think.

as i've stated on multiple posts i fucking loved every minute of it, but like the movie the Road which i consider a masterpiece.. its a fucking emotional slog going through it the first time, so for me whilst i have no desire to replay it doesn't detract one iota from the game, i may revisit a few levels if they release a PS5 patch

My point is, if the first game did 20 mil copies sold, theoretically having 20 million fans give or take, regardless if it was bundled or not.

You would expect the sequel to one of sony's most beloved highly anticipated franchise to perform better.

Because right now, it has fallen out of the top 10s, sales have dropped drastically week on week, divided the fanbase and its been beaten by GoT, which by the way is a new IP.

Yeah for me also the game does not invite me to play it again. But neither did God of war or the first one. It's a big fat sp experience that takes about 40 hours. But I will defend the game against people who just did not play it and try to force an opinion as hear say or those who have a agenda to hate the game. Yeah, very true, haha. TLOU2 is also just emotionally trying. I can totally understand it. As I mentioned above, I think it's a fine game, I just don't care enough to defend it I suppose, but that's just me. But I also think it's because it's like this loop that never stops and there's no point in getting involved. The amount of sporadic hate it received is pretty impressive.

You don't realize that bulk of the sales are made during the first few months and during the holidays. Bundles were released shortly after the game released and re-released again with the remaster.


God of War was top charts, yet took almost a year to reach 10 million, which is without a bundle. You can see how bundles impacted those numbers. Yes, you guys haven't done much research.
