Yeah, we can dispense with this asterix nonsense. Tennis is a sport. Injuries happen. Wawrinka, should he win, absolutely earned this and no-one should question what might have been.

Wawrinka should have broke him. All he has to do is keep snapping at his heels. He can't mentally go away and give up a stupid service game. It's a strange match, but it's a great test of his resolve. Does he want this first slam or not? He's got an injured opponent out there, but he knows Nadal is tenacious, he just has to keep pressuring him on his service games.

Perfect way to say it. Stan has to win it. One good set is not enough.

Nadal's coach sure says a bit more than just Vamos Rafa. :) Eva Asderaki was right it seems.

Yeah, as much as I love Nadal, him and Toni have always been shady with their on court coaching. It's disappointing, but it's what happens when you look for an edge. You can guarantee it's happened in this match. Cut that shit out.

one good thing about this match: nadal is not grunting at all. totally silent.

Federer will be pleased.

This match feels like on of those video games that you don't really wanna play anymore but yet you do, because you really want to finish and be done with it.

How so? That's stupid. I don't watch much tennis, admittedly, but that sounds absurd to me.

Chokers lose. Like the Maple Leafs.

We have an amazing tennis player called Sam Stosur. She has many accolades and rightly so but she still has the title of a choker whether it's the right thing or not.

I considered it. But we're pulling for the same side in this one. can't do that to you.

If Wawrinka took it out in 3 sets it wouldn't be so tainted but now its going to 4 Stan has definitely got the label of a choker no matter how this turns out :/

Don't agree with this at all. There's nothing more strange and adrenalin sapping than playing an injured opponent. We could have this discussion if he loses in 5, but we're not having this if he wins in 4 or 5, for that matter.

Shit, this "I thought I had it in the bag, then I got back spasm" back spain commercial is HILARIOUSLY appropriate.

Psychology affects different people, we'll see in the future. This takes nothing away from how amazing this match is though with all the twists and turns. It's why i love tennis.

If Nadal wins this match, he should be formally coronated the mental game GOAT in tennis. He has literally made the men of Switzerland look like mental midgets.

I occasionally have problems with my back and I get spasms in the left side, particularly when transferring weight. It's fucking horrible, and if Nadal has had anything like that, I feel sorry for him. However, I also know that with painkillers, you can make it disappear into the background, but still be at slightly reduced capacity.

Still, Stan's on a plate. He breaks him, he breaks his resolve and runs away with it. This is it! 15-40

DONE IT!!!
