uh.....no. i think the fact that the indians were 2 games back last week and are now eight back proves that there is always plenty of time in baseball.

Um, no. Apples and oranges.

After the Cubs/Stros series there is 32 games left for both teams. Cubs win 3 of 4 they are 8 ahead of houston wiht 32 left. Cubs sweep they would be 10 up. The Cubs September schedule is cake and they are a much stronger team than the Indians who overachieved for a week.

fine. i'll use the yankees/red sox example then. the bosox gained five games in a week.
schedules dont eman as much in baseball cause you can lose a game in a number of ways (blown umpire calls for one thing)

Well cripes that's like saying the Brewers aren't out of the Central division title yet at 23 games. back. There are 30+ games left to play. St. Loius could lose them all and Milwaukee could win them all.....

OH FOR GOD'S SAKE USE YOUR BRAIN!!!! what makes you think the cubs can all of a sudden not lose the lead. it's a one game lead i might add. san fran was leading the wild card this weekend and now they aer not. see my point? this is a very tight race and it isnt going to come down to one four game set in august. sheesh.

Yes, there are other teams ahead of us in the wildcard, but the more teams we jump over, the easier it becomes to catch up to the other teams.

Those "Astros _ games back" is in relation to the Cubs.

Every Cub batter goes up swinging for the the ivy...does this team not know how to hit singles or doubles for rbi's..that team will be fucked come playoff time,if they make it in.
